Honda CB description

This came from an estate, I was told by the son that it ran good when his father last rode it and parked it 27 years ago, The motor turns over with the kick start, I am not going to try to start it. It will need the carb dissembled and cleaned, new or charged battery, tire's seem to be in good shape, hold air and no dry cracking. It seems to be all original and all there, even has the tool kit with it, the only change that I can see is that they installed a new baffle in the muffler and welded it into place. It comes with new Honda front fork spring rubber covers and a new clutch handle, the end of the old clutch handle is broke. It has a small dent on top of the tank as you can see in the pic's, and also a very small ding on the upper side of the tank, the tip of the front fender had been bent and they had straighten it back out, you can still see the wrinkles but not that bad, the seat as you can see will need recovered, just the top part around the piping so you can retain the original Honda logo on the lower rear of the seat. I took the gas lid off the tank and it's dry with very light rust and smell's like varnish, the throttle is stuck from being varnished up, It has some scratch's here and there on the tank and frame but not bad at all for a 42 year old bike. The 125's are getting harder to find and here is a good original one up for your consideration. I will crate and ship at buyer's expense but would prefer local pickup. There is no warranty or guarantee, your buying as is where is. As of today I have no title, They said I should have it in a couple of day's so bid knowing this. Thanks and good luck !

Electric Motorcycle Conversion [video]

Fri, 30 Jul 2010

If you were ever curious how to convert your smelly, noisy and dirty gas powered motorcycle into a quiet and zero emissions electric motorcycle then you have to check this video out from GomiStyle.  They take an old Honda Rebel 250 and customize the frame to accommodate the electric motor and batteries, they claim the conversion should take about two to three days to complete, the batteries will take about 5-8 hours to charge and will give you a top speed of 45 mph. Here is a link to the step-by-step instructions, check out the video after the jump. The GomiCycle – An Electric Motorcycle Conversion from Media Sapien on Vimeo.

Jefferies' TT V&M R1 for sale

Tue, 26 Apr 2011

We got a tip-off about a former David Jefferies TT R1 for sale on eBay. The owner says it's from the 1998 TT but I'm pretty sure it was the one he raced in 1999. Here's a little bit more background about the V&M TT effort in 1999: In 1990 Jack Valentine gave up racing to concentrate on running V&M Racing, and after being sacked by Honda at the end of the 1998 season, the team set about to do some giant killing.

Misano Moto GP. Was it Divine Intervention?

Thu, 20 Sep 2012

I’m still buzzing from an amazing weekend of Moto GP in Misano. It took until Saturday lunchtime for the sun to get his hat on but from there on in the atmosphere at both the circuit and the nearby beachfront was first class. As usual on race day we had epic Moto 3 and Moto 2 races with respective champions elect Cortese and Marquez once again taking victories by just fractions of a second.
