Honda CB description

Beautiful, well maintained 1977 550F Super Sport. Offered only from 75'- 77', this is a hard to find, very nice example of the final year. Dubbed the "Flying French Horn" by Cycle World, this sporting middle-weight does everything very well. Almost as fast as the 750's of the day, but FAR more maneuverable. This bike runs very well, handles superbly, and corners like it's on rails. Purcased from the 2nd owner 2 years ago, ridden very little, and then stored on the enclosed front porch of my home. When I purchased the bike, it had a double step seat installed (included),which I replaced with a factory style race seat ($500 !). Has the orginal muffler, but, like all of them, has some rot on the end. For that reason I purchased a very nice vintage R.C. Racing header muffler. 2nd owner lost the starter button, so he installed a toggle switch instead. However, the stock switch is included for easy conversion back to stock. Also included are new plugs, oil filter, spare cables, stock mint mirrors, owner's manual, and service records. Bike will need a new battery installed. Tires are in very good condition, as is the rest of the bike over all. Could use a good detailing, but a very nice rare vintage bike at a great price. Please feel free to ask questions or for additional pics, and happy bidding !
