Honda CB description
1978-1979 CB400T HAWK HONDAMATIC With 583 Miles, 2 speed automatic. I have rode it around some and added a few more.
Belonged to a older lady who had it lowered and seat redone. Only rode it around the block when she wasn't on a Goldwing with her husband. Must of been a private import (or military?), has passing button (blinks high beam), parking light and a red rev light in the center of the top triple clamp. Has a "star" where the "2" would be on the shift gauge. Japanese labels are on the bike. Paper ID tag with "1978/1979" along with the stamped frame number. Been sitting in a garage for almost 30 years. Last reg. was in 1988 in California so it is out of the system. Comes with a bill of sale only. Carbs have been gone through, new air cleaner and battery. Fires right up and runs nice. Electric and kick start. Tires are original and hold air fine but might need to replaced for freeway riding. It will come with a original Honda Hawk black factory seat that I ordered and will replace the custom seat seen on the bike. I will update with pictures when it arrives. I showed a picture with a black seat from another bike just to show that it looks like. |

The North East,Prescott and fast laps with Chris Walker at Mallory
Thu, 26 Apr 2012A big thanks to all at Newcastle Motorcycles for lending me a Honda CB1000F on Saturday to do nothing other than join mates for a blast round some fantastic roads in the North East. The buddies in question were Alan Smith (Bradley’s dad) and two stroke addict and race fan Chris Berriman. We headed east over the moors from the ‘Toon’ heading towards Barnard Castle then back through Consett before finishing up at the picturesque Tynemouth.
