Honda CB description

Up for sale with No Reserve is this very nice 1983 Honda CB1000 that looks and runs great. Honda did a lot of unique high tech engineering with these models and they are very fast to boot. The 5-Speed transmission features a 2 speed high/low feature with power to the rear wheel by shaft drive. The adjustable front forks and dual front discs are other example of Honda ingenuity. This bike is very clean with the paint and chrome being almost flawless. It has been with the same owner for the past 30 years and has been very well cared for and garage kept. PA State Inspection was just done and is valid to May of 2017. The tires are new with approximately 50 miles of wear. There are no oil leaks and the gas tank is spotless inside. A Honda Tourpack has been installed as well as engine guards and a replacement seat. The motor is a little noisy when idling at 900 rpm but quickly smooths out at 1200 rpm. This is known to be common on this model and is not a concern. The bike starts right up, runs great and shifts smoothly. All the lights, signals and the horn are working properly. We have a clear title ready to go to the next owner so this great classic CB is ready to be ridden ant enjoyed by the next owner. The CB1000 offers attractive styling coupled with great performance and utilitarian capability with very good fuel economy. If you have any questions either e-mail us or call Joe at (724)502-0035.
This is a No Reserve auction so the high bidder gets the bike. Please be certain that you are ready to complete the sale if you are the winning bidder including making payment and arranging shipping or pick up. Mon, 21 Apr 2014

We’ve featured custom motorcycles from Deus Ex Machina before and for good reason. Michael “Woolie” Wollaway, the in-house bike builder for the Venice, California location, makes some fantastic creations. This one, however, is especially interesting.

The International Motorcycling Federation is considering modifying its homologation requirements for the World Superbike Championship following Bimota‘s somewhat surprising plans to re-enter the series. Under current regulations, manufacturers must produce a minimum number of motorcycles for it to be eligible to compete in the production-based WSBK championship. The official regulations currently require a minimum of 125 units produced for an initial homologation inspection, 500 units produced by June 30 of the current year, 1,000 units by the end of the current year and 2,000 units by the end of the following year.
