Honda CB description
Very rare early Honda. 1960 CB92 125cc electric start twin in
absolutely mint condition and only 118 miles since full restoration. Previously on consignment
to Bob's BMW in Maryland for $15,000.
Starts immediately with a press of the button and settles into a lopey
idle. These were early performance bikes and one of Honda's first
exports to the States. Faster than most 250s in their
day and capable of 85 mph without the racing kit installed; 90+ mph after
installation. Honda's racing team used them to survey the track at the
Isle of Mann races when Soichiro Honda decided to go racing. Imported
into the States from 1959-62; one of only 288 imported in 1960; (62 in
1959, 288 1960, 246 1961, & 51 in 1962).
This bike is fitted with its original engine (fully rebuilt)
and runs perfectly. The 4-speed transmission (also rebuilt), shifts
smoothly & a new clutch was installed. The electric starter, horn, speedometer, neutral indicator,
and head & tail lights all work properly.
Perfect aluminum alloy gas
tank and front fender. Perfect rubber cowling on the gas tank.
Show-quality silver & red paint done in acrylic urethane base/clear and
then buffed to perfection. The Yokohama tires are beginning to get
sidewall cracks but are still usable. Perfect chrome wheels. Perfect
side covers. Excellent factory flyscreen. Both seats; the factory red
dual saddle and the factory racing style one.
Runs exceptionally
well and accelerates right up to 80 mph. The
ultra rare factory racing kit (dual chrome megaphones, racing seat
(currently fitted on the bike), and 14,000 RPM tachometer (with tach cable) is
included with the bike along with a box of spares (brake shoes, gaskets, air
filter, etc).
One of the Holy Grail Japanese collector bikes with only a handful
remaining. Very neat bike.

Own A Scale Model Of The Elf5, One Of The Most Unique Racing Motorcycles Ever
Tue, 01 Oct 2013If you’re a fan of scale model racing motorcycle kits, this 1/12 scale model of the Elf5 racer, as ridden by Ron Haslam in 1988, should make your mouth water. Designed by famous F1 designer André de Cortanze, the Elf5 was the culmination of a radical experiment by de Cortanze and Elf, the French petroleum giant. And even though it didn’t claim the racing success Cortanze and Elf had hoped, the experimental Elf motorcycles hold a distinctive place in motorcycle racing history, with some of its technology still in use today. Powered by a Honda NSR500 V4 engine that served as a stressed member and main mounting structure for the single-sided swingarms both front and rear, this recently released scale model is based closely on the actual Elf5 racing machines. This full detailed kit maintains the single-sided suspension, with the front suspension consisting of aluminum alloy and springs that will be partly movable.
WSBK Shuffle: Elias to Red Devils Roma As Fabrizio In talks to Replace Injured Rea at Honda
Mon, 09 Sep 2013The World Superbike Championship was off this past weekend but it looks like there will be some significant changes to the grid when the series resumes next weekend at Istanbul Park in Turkey. Veteran racer Toni Elias has quit his Moto2 team, reportedly to sign with the Red Devils Roma squad to ride the Aprilia RSV4 Factory for the remaining four rounds of the season. Elias will replace Michel Fabrizio who is reportedly unhappy with late payments from the team’s sponsors.
