Honda CB description

This bike started out as a 1980 Honda CB750f Super Sport, and has been completely gone through and transformed by StinkyFab Racing (SFR) in Escondido, CA. This is not your usual hack job garage racer with a bunch of bolt on ebay junk and nothing else. There was a lot of very in depth custom machine work done to combine all the parts and make it all work correctly. The fork and wheel swap in particular are a couple big things that set this bike apart. If you know anything about this stuff you'll know that those are not direct bolt up pieces and require a lot of machine work and fabrication. To build this bike again would cost anyone double or more what I'm asking. It isn't a beater either, really more of a functional rat rod/scrambler style build, it rides great and is rock solid reliable. Everything on this bike has been gone through or replaced, in fact the only original parts are the engine, swing arm and the main section of the frame. Starts every time without hesitation and will run all day long. I have no issues riding this bike hundreds of miles at a time, and dont ever hesitate to do so when the weather is nice.

Original frame and Engine, with freshly rebuilt top end including piston rings valve job and serviced carbs.
Stock Tank with fresh paint. The inside is clean and has absolutely NO RUST.
I also have the original tank with some nice aging and patina, as shown in a couple of the pictures.

  • 2006 Kawasaki ZX6R fork, Front brakes, front wheel, clipons, and controls.
  • New braided front brake lines
  • New Rear shocks
  • Matching Kawasaki Rear wheel.
  • Custom subframe and seat.
  • Hidden battery (NEW) and electricals.
  • Custom exhaust
  • Digital gauge cluster
  • Brand new tires
  • Clean title, just renewed CA registration. Good til 2014
  • Runs like a top and starts every time. Very reliable and ridden daily.

There are a bunch of pictures of the entire buildup on the builders web site here: http://www.stinkyfab.com/blog/?p=310

Here's a video walk around with cold and hot starts: http://youtu.be/qoAybjeiJT4
And here's a virtual test ride: http://youtu.be/KMZyeWSZpk4

Really fun bike that gathers a crowd wherever you take it.

Classic Race Finishes: 1991 250cc Misano Grand Prix – Video

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

More than just a medium to view countless hours of cat videos, YouTube allows us to look back at classic motorcycle races otherwise lost to the depths of the VHS tape. This time around features the no-holds-barred, back-and-forth action between Luca Cadalora, aboard the Rothmans Honda NSR250 and Helmut Bradl, father of current MotoGP rider, Stefan Bradl, riding the HB Honda NSR250. The stage is the 1991 250cc Italian Grand Prix at Misano — back when it was run in the correct, counter-clockwise, direction.

Motorcycle Buying Tips For Women

Fri, 17 May 2013

Over the past few years, especially since the height of the economic crisis, more and more women have turned to motorcycling both as a way to save on fuel costs, but also to experience the joys of the open road. In an article recently published by Consumer Reports, some tips are provided for women looking to enter the sport for the first time. The first bit of advice is to “Sit on a lot of different bikes first,” says Angela Annamalai of Shelby’s Powersports in Bronx, New York.
