Honda CBR description
Up for auction is a 1987 Honda CBR1000F Hurricane Sport
motorcycle. We are a multi-line motorcycle dealership, selling new
Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki & BMW motorcycles in addition to a few other
brands. This Honda
motorcycle was recently acquired in trade toward the purchase of a new Honda motorcycle. The last owner purchased this motorcycle in March of 1993 with only 2,613 miles. They have kept it on the road, serviced it, maintained it, and kept it in good cosmetic & mechanical condition. Our Honda authorized
service department has performed an overall inspection & safety
check on this motorcycle, and everything appears to be in good working
condition. This 29 year old Honda would benefit from a general tune up & will need a new rear tire soon. Otherwise, all she needs is a new rider!
This Honda CBR1000F Hurricane is in excellent mechanical condition, and as seen in the pictures, it is in good cosmetic condition as well. This modern classic Honda Hurricane is all OEM, with the only upgrade being the GIVI luggage rack mounted to the rear. This CBR1000F has just over 19,201 miles and we hold a clean Massachusetts Title for this bike. This Honda in-line 4-cyclinder engine starts easy, runs strong, transmission shifts through all the gears smoothly, so this motorcycle should bring the next owner years of wonderful riding. Please feel free to call 617-275-3784, with any questions or concerns during normal business hours. Trades are accepted for local buyers, but please inquire before bidding! |

BMW 1000RR and the Honda C70, are they indestructible?
Wed, 20 Apr 2011I’ve managed 1374 miles on the Michelin Power Pures (mostly on track) and although we’ve had some decent temperatures they still look like new so there’s plenty meat left for another month at least. I’ve been running them at 30psi front and 32psi rear and find they warm up after a few miles but I wouldn’t say the temperature comes any quicker than any of the competition so it has to be four miles before I get brave. I’ve had a few out the seat moments with my BMW but I have got the rear suspension set pretty hard (8 rebound,8 compression, two turns on pre load) and in slick mode, so 190bhp in first gear at the Knockhill hairpin is always going to be dodgy.

At this point, the recall is only for the X model and only in Canada, but a similar recall may come from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for the U.S.-spec Honda NC700X. According to Transport Canada, the outer plates on the links of the drive chain may not have received proper heat treatment.
