Honda CL description

This is a chance for you to become the owner of a 48 year old 1968 Honda CL160D Scrambler that is well preserved. It is in excellent condition. It is the ultimate barn find. I have owned it for 27 years.  It has been stored in a dry and controlled facility. I doubt you will find one this nice except in a museum or a high end collection. Where ever I ride this cycle it gets thumbs up and total attention. The CL160D Scramblers were only made in 1967 and 1968. It has 9,400 miles on it. The miles are believed to be original, but cannot be verified. It is scarlet red and silver. It has no oil or gas leaks. It has the original 161cc OHC parallel twin, dual carb engine with a 4-speed transmission. It starts right up and runs great. You can kick start it or use the electrical starter. The transmission shifts like new. All electricals (headlight dim/bright, tail light, stop light, spedo light, neutral light, horn, and electric starter) all work on it. The inside of the gas tank was recently professionally cleaned and resealed. It has a rebuilt petcock. It has a new battery in it. It has  had a recent oil change and tune up. It comes with the rare Honda tool kit. The tools are wrapped in the original pouch and are stored in the cycle’s on board tool container. The gas tank, side panels, and fenders were repainted years ago, prior to my ownership. The front fender has a couple of scratches on it. The rear fender is missing the mud flap (I have one on order). The rear fender has a dent and minor scuffing where the mud flap originally was secured . The tires tread is in good condition but they are starting to show sidewall cracking. The rims and handlebars are straight and retain their chrome shine. The spokes are in excellent condition. It has the original shocks and body parts. There is no rust or pitting on this cycle. The seat has a small rip in the driver’s area. It has a clean Colorado title. Is has been titled as a 1969 model for over 30 years. It is actually a 1968 model.  On September 13th I am taking it to the Boulder Colorado Highway Patrol sub-office to complete the paper work to change the model year on it and then immediately after that I will take it to the Longmont  Department of Motor Vehicles to have a new title created with the correct year documented on it. The frame VIN number: B160-1070568. The engine VIN number: B160-107035. The old Hondas like this are getting more and more difficult to find, especially in this good condition. Their value continues to climb. This will be a cash transaction or an electronic funds transfer transaction only. I do not take PayPal, personal checks, bank checks, or certified checks, etc. No warranty is implied, or stated. No out of the country transactions will be accepted. Any shipping fees are paid by the buyer. I can assist in the securing of a qualified shipper, if needed.
