Honda Gold Wing description

Bike appears original. 19K miles. Paint in good shape, some fading on side doors. Chrome is mixed...some is shot and some is responding well to chrome cleaner. Bike has new carbs- I have drained old gas and flushed tank....battery was strong and I did get it to start but then it shut down. So this is a "project" bike....it has not been running with the new carbs. Comes with (2) new and still wrapped Kenda tires, windshield, spare seat and sissy bar assembly, spare handlebars (Honda 6-bend high bars, rare and worth about $400 alone) and Bates  hard side bags! Mufflers are rusted but solid and there is little rust elsewhere. There is no title as it was last registered in Maine in 2001 (see attached plate) and is not required there. I do have the last Maine registration paper and insurance doc. Great deal for parts alone at $1999. Easy and fun winter restoration!!
NOTE: Despite eBay there is NO title as it was last registered in Maine in 2001 and it is not required in Maine. THERE IS NO TITLE.
NOTE 2: will NOT ship (local pickup only) UNLESS you arrange pickup here at my place. Please contact me first before bidding. Thanks!

Motorcycle Beginner Diary: What I Love About Being a Motorcyclist

Mon, 06 Jun 2011

Hey folks, it’s Dennis here, Motorcycle.com‘s Designated Newbie. As documented in our Motorcycle Beginner articles (and if you haven’t read them yet, check out the Related Reading links below!) we’re taking a look at the new rider experience and what it means to be a motorcyclist. I’ve had a couple of weeks’ worth of riding on the new Honda CBR250R (more on that in our next Motorcycle Beginner article) and so far I’m having a blast.

2010 Honda V4 Teaser [video]

Tue, 25 Aug 2009

Based on the concept model unveiled last October at Intermot 2008, the new motorcycle is expected to be a sport-tourer powered by a 1200cc V-4 engine with variable cylinder technology which can allow it to run on only two cylinders to conserve fuel.  There are also rumors that the motorcycle will have a semi-auto gear box which will give the rider the option of going manual or automatic. Honda has a dedicated website for the V4 where you can enter for a chance to win a spot to be one of the first to test drive the new bike, unfortunately, the contest is only open to Europeans. Hit the jump to see the new promo video (you can hear what the motorcycle sounds like!) and an interview with design project leader, Teofilo Plaza.

WSBK 2012: Assen Results

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick.
