Honda Gold Wing description

1986 Honda Gold Wing Interstate. 1200cc dark red / burgundy. I will do my best to list everything. First the issues... Cosmetics...It has the normal age ware and tare. Some surface rust on the chrome. Some of the plastic is cracked but not bad. There are a few scratches on the paint from normal use. The luggage box behind the passenger seat has a scratch / rub mark in the left front corner about the size of a quarter. It is not through the paint but is the worst one so I wanted to point it out. The radio is not hooked up. I just set it in for the picture to show it was there. Not sure if it works, Never used it. Engine etc...The engine ran fine last time I used it a year and a half ago. It developed a gas leak and I parked it. I was going to get it fixed but never had the time. (reason it is going. I do not use it) I called the mechanic and was told it could be a stuck float in the carburetor of a dry rotted fuel line. Also, the throttle cable does not work so it would need to be replaced or worked free. I was told these two issues should costs around $200.00. I would do a tune up and change oil and gas. Ok, for the good...It has been garage kept. Never laid over when i had it and looks like it never was. I had good used tires put on just before I parked it. It has the drives removable back rest. It ran great the last time I used it just before i parked it in my garage. Thanks for looking at my auction. Any questions please ask. I will send more pictures if needed.  Pick up only. I described this the best I could. Does not mean I covered everything but did everything I could remember. Down payment of $50.00due within 24 hours paypal and contact me within 24 hours to set up pick up arrangements. Thanks again for looking.

OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes

Sat, 01 Nov 2008

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.

WSBK 2013: Monza Race Report

Mon, 13 May 2013

Eugene Laverty and Marco Melandri split a pair of victories at Monza but the most biggest news from the World Superbike weekend was a strange series of appeals after Race Two that saw Tom Sykes finish third, relegated to fourth and then reinstated on the final step of the podium. The unusual mix-up occurred after Sykes, sitting in third place, ran off track and into the run off area on Turn 5 on his final lap. The Kawasaki rider returned to the track again in third place where he finished ahead of Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli.

After 10 years of working as a helicopter mechanic, Samuel Guertin founded Clockwork Motorcycles east of Montreal and began building cars and motorcycles

Tue, 03 Feb 2015

This Honda CB750 is the fourth work of Clockwork Motorcycles: “The bike looked pretty funny,” says the founder of the workshop. They tried to turn the 1971 model into a bobber, but unsuccessfully. I decided it deserved better." Having decided to make a real bobber, Samuel called the project "Fury".
