Honda Gold Wing description

One owner purchased in 2011. This vehicle has had all required maintenance performed as per Honda recommendations. Service records are available. The F&R tires have only 4000 miles on them and the battery is new as of this September. Front brakes are new as of September also. All the standard features of the Gold Wing Audio Comfort are included: premium surround sound, cruise control, electric reverse, heated grips and seat, navigation system and XM. XM is good through Aug 30, 2017. In addition this bike has a black rear spoiler with brake light, chrome trunk rack, passenger arm rest, driver backrest (a must for those long rides) and Honda trunk and saddle bag set. If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.

We’re just days away from the start of the 2014 MotoGP season and one would think it’s a little late for series organizers to make any significant rule changes. At least, one would think that if one were unfamiliar with the political back-and-forths going on between the major manufacturers and MotoGP promoter Dorna. But with the season-opening Qatar round about to begin, the Grand Prix Commission approved new rules establishing a compromise between the new Factory and Open options.

Ben Spies topped the time sheets ahead of teammate Jorge Lorenzo as Yamaha continued its MotoGP pre-season testing in Malaysia. While their rivals at Honda were idled by an engine problem, the two factory Yamaha riders found improvement on their Day One times and gathered data about riding in both wet and dry conditions. Spies set the best lap time at 2:01.285 while testing different chassis settings in the morning.
