Honda Nighthawk description

This is a one off custom Nighthawk "Killing Time" Built at Karnage Kustomz.  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Karnage-Kustomz-llc-custom-motorcycles/149470838396529

Please read everything before bidding or buying.

The Buy it now price will include new tires front and back (the existing back tire has little tread and is due for a change soon and both tires have dry rot cracks in them but still hold air) The front disc brake will be installed to working order with new pads and new rear drum pads as well. There will be a 2 week period to get this all done    before pickup or shipping. Those items listed above are the only things needed to make the bike complete, or safer to drive.

Without the buy it now price you will recieve the bike as is(I will include the front disc brake system with the sale of the bike so you can install it if wanted) I DO NOT RECOMMEND A REAR BRAKE ONLY BIKE FOR A BEGINNER AT ALL!

I am ready to sell the bike as quickly as possible to move onto other projects I have going on in the garage. So make a very reasonable cash offer and she's yours!

THE BIKE HAS A BILL OF SALE ONLY> NO TITLE ON BIKE

I do not know actual mileage on the bike but the motor is very strong. 6 speed, hydraulic clutch

Now onto the bike. This Nighthawk has gone through alot of cleaning up repairs and modifications to get it to were it is now. This is a turn key running driving full functioning motorcycle. And it is a very quick little bike. Its a shaft drive which makes for less maintenance and more power to the back wheel!  It will easily get the front tire off the ground. The motor is also less maintenance with its self adjusting valves that will also open up if the motor is overrevved like a rev limiter so you wont damage the engine.

The bike has no gauges or turn signals and is a rear drum brake only bike. I have been driving this bike for about 4 months now and it is a fun bike. I have had this bike on the highway and it tracks straight. pull your hands off the bars at any speed and their is no shake in the front end at all. It also cruises nicely at high speeds. It also handles pretty well in the corners with the rake.

My only way to explain the bikes ride is a StreetChop. You have the feel of a street tracker on ride seating with the sound of some sorta crotch rocket and then the front wheel is stretched out in front of you. It draws attention. With only a rear break I have found that with the driveshaft the bike picks up speed very fast and slows down fast as well. Almost like an electric RC car.

There has been alot of work done to the bike. This build is not a bunch of parts bought and put onto the bike. It's all been made one off to fit the bike. There is a alot of hours of Fab work.

 Modifications list :

The front end is from a Nighthawk 650 wich is bigger than the stock front end , New fork seals and dust caps have been installed and the neck of the bike has been raked out to 40 degrees.

The rear of the frame was finished off with a short fender molded into the frame

The frame was detabbed and smoothed out.

The seat is custom fabricated and finished off in real leather.

The handle bars are custom fabricated

The stock battery was tossed for a smaller one and the stock battery holder was modified to house the smaller battery and a very small electric box fabricated to the back of  the battery box. All the electrics are accessable when the battery is removed wich is were the main fuse is for the bike.

The exhaust is a custom 4-2 with a cross chamber in between. It is muffled and has a very cool distinguished note to it.

The wiring is all brand new and very simple. You have a kill switch, light switch and the bikes ignition is turnkey like a car. The bike fires right up everytime.

The carbs were taken apart and cleaned and main jets have been increased to 117.5's from the stock 110.

  List of new parts :

  New grips

  New battery

  New Stator

  New reg/rec

  New Dixie chopper rectangle headlight

  New old stock CDI box

  New side mount liscence plate

  New Plugs

  Fresh oil + filter

The bike has fresh paint were needed and blended into the original paint work. The stock tank was left alone with its original Patina from 83. There is some pinstripping on the bike from a local Pinstripper. This is not a show bike nor a very crappy rat bike. Just a cool clean custom bike you can have fun on and not worry about scratches or rain or whatever it is they worry about. It's more go than show! It is a driver. I have probably missed some of the small stuff but this is it in a nutshell.

Thu, 09 May 2013

American Honda released a video teasing a new 2014 off-road model which will be revealed in May 14. The most obvious conclusion is the teaser is for the 2014 Honda CRF450R or CRF250R.

Honda Gold Wing Brake Recall – Round 2

Tue, 09 Sep 2014

While Honda has never seemed like a company to follow the old saw “We do it right because we do it twice,” the company has just announced a second recall of 126,000 GL 1800 and GL 1800A models to address a dragging rear brake problem that is serious enough to potentially cause a fire. We feel comfortable saying that this is certainly not the type of heated seats Gold Wing riders would want to have. The affected models come from a variety of years.

2013 Honda CBR250R Gets Repsol Edition

Tue, 04 Sep 2012

American Honda announced a number of returning 2013 models with new color options but the most eye-catching of the new paint jobs is the Repsol-edition CBR250R. Dressed to resemble Casey Stoner‘s and Dani Pedrosa‘s Honda RC213V MotoGP race bikes, the 2013 Repsol edition Honda CBR250R sports the Spanish petroleum company’s orange with red and white colors, the Honda Racing Corporation logo and the “One Heart” motto of Honda’s Indonesian joint venture which also sponsors the MotoGP team. Completing the look are the Repsol-orange wheels.
