Honda Other description

This Honda Z50 Mini Trail was under the Christmas tree for me when I was a little kid and since I'm 47 I suppose it's time to pass it on to someone who has a child that will get some enjoyment riding it. This bike is in amazing condition considering its age. It has NEVER been restored....you are seeing the exact parts that were on it when I got it long long ago (with the exception of the battery and the air filter of course). I cleaned the carburetor, changed the oil, and lubed the chain recently, this bike fires up right away every time and runs just like it always has....excellent!

I see another bike like this currently listed and the seller mentions that it's not often you find these bikes in original, non-restored condition that look like this.

Everything works on this....headlight (high and low beam), taillight/brake light, photos show the lights in working order.

As previously described, this bike has NOT been restored so it has signs of use such as extremely minor dings in gas tank from the handlebar knobs and one lower one on right side of tank (notorious on these bikes), one side of the gas cap inner flange broke away (no, not in the tank) but I still use the original gas cap without issue. The left handlebar headlight cable sheath has been pinched by lowering the handlebars but is still operational, so no need to replace (perhaps wrap in electrical tape). The connectors for the battery have been replaced to fit the installed battery, but can easily be swapped back to original style for stock type battery. The rubber strap that holds the battery in place deteriorated so I stole one of my daughter's hair bands to secure it....it does a great job, but you might want to spend the $10 to get an original replacement (I've seen them listed on Ebay).

Most importantly, I take great pride in providing accurate descriptions and phots of the item(s) that I am selling so the buyer feels confident in their purchase. Please ask any questions that you may have.

Thank you for looking and good luck.

I will provide Bill of Sale for purchase as vehicles with engine size under 50cc aren't titled in Texas.

Shipping is within the continental United States only and buyer is responsible for all shipping fees.

Start the ultimate project bike

Wed, 17 Nov 2010

The base for the ultimate project bike have appeared online, a Honda RC211V. The adverts consist of the supposedly the frame from Valentino Rossi's championship dominating machine from 2003 on eBay and a frame that comes complete with the sexy V5 engine. The eBay listing is currently at $510 and is literally an incomplete frame with the ad stating that it is the 'unfinished basis of replacement RC211V frame, all made in aluminium with CNC machined parts & high quality welding', the bidding is still under the reserve set by the user.

No snow here folks!

Fri, 31 Dec 2010

An erratic work schedule combined with a full season of kids racing means, there aren’t many opportunities during the summer months for the Mackenzie family to grab a holiday. Instead, we tend to save our pennies and head off somewhere sunny for Christmas. I love doing this as it shortens the UK winter but more importantly it means I miss the festive frenzy.  I do like Christmas, but I hate how everyone gets caught up in the retail madness that kicks off just before Halloween, then has everyone stressed (and skint)before Santa has even hitched up his sleigh.
