Honda Other description

I have a 1982 Honda FT 500 Ascot with 12,xxx original miles up for saleAside from the plastics being a little rough the bike is in attractive condition and was my daily driver around the little town I live in untell about a month agow the only thing it needs to be 100% rideable is rear shocks there $250 on-line It has a brand new battery, the tires are in terrific shape I just did a oil change less than 100 mis ago and a valve adjustment was done as well.It could probably use a new chain soon and the headlamp fuse is pulled do to over wattage headlamp draining the battery (need to install on/off switch it's better than having a candle for a light)There are some little quarks about the bike that you would need to get familiar with but that's to be expected with a bike of this age. Im selling because I need money for my car asap I want $900 im willing to work a little bit if interested give will a call or txt at

Simon and Leo

Thu, 11 Aug 2011

If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.
