In order to use footage from a Dorna-sanctioned MotoGP test session — say, for marketing or promotional reasons — a team must receive approval from Dorna. The process is tedious, and even if permission is granted, there are strict limitations as to what the material may or may not be used for. So when Honda decided to conduct its own private test (which Yamaha also joined), at the Circuit of the Americas, it was free from any and all Dorna mandates.

Last week, Honda revealed the modern successor to the Z50 “Monkey” bike in the new MSX125. While it’s not clear if the Honda MSX125 will be offered in North America, our original post drew a lot of positive comments from our readers so let’s hope American Honda is paying attention. Recall on Kuryakyn Transformer Passenger Floorboards for Honda Gold Wing

Accessory manufacturer Küryakyn is issuing a recall on its Transformer passenger floorboards for the 2001-2011 Honda Gold Wing. According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the mounts of the Küryakyn Transformer floorboards may crack and break free from the mounting bolts. The floorboards may unexpectedly fall off the motorcycle, potentially leading to a crash or injury.
