Honda Other description

For sale is my 1995 Honda Helix 250cc scooter. The scooter runs and drives great. It has 15,420 miles on the scooter. I have had the scooter for around 3 to 4 years and used it to commute to work 23 miles away. I now live 3 miles from work and take my boys with me to work so their is no need for the scooter. Scooter will do up to 73 but a more realistic speed is 65 to 70 on the freeway. Scooter has been very reliable. At freeway speed you can expect 55 to 60 mpg. At slower speeds the mpg is around 60 to 70 mpg.

Pros: New back tire, good mpg, newly upholstered seat, front disc brake, liquid cooled, oil changed every 1000 miles, had rollers changed about 1500 miles ago, newer air filter, gear oil changed, twist and go (no shifting) very comfortable seat, seats two, big storage area in the back.

Cons: 18 years old so there are a few scratches and wear that you would expect for the age. Scratches on the mph/fuel/temp gauge screen. Screen is still visible while driving, but there is some separation or scratches happening with the screen that had been there since I have owned it. You can see it in one of the pictures.

Call me or text me at 541-578-0118.

Price is $1200 or best offer.

Thanks Mike

2014 WSBK – Portimao Results

Mon, 07 Jul 2014

Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes extended his championship lead while a Race Two collision between Aprilia teammates Sylvain Guintoli and Marco Melandri provided drama in the World Superbike Championship round at Portugal’s Portimao track. Sykes qualified on the pole in a sun-draped Superpole session but the clouds rolled in on race day, forcing teams to plan for mixed weather. An overcast sky presided over a dry Race One, leading to a mix of tire choices but all of the racers switched to wet tires for Race Two that saw the scheduled 20-lap length reduced to 18 laps.

The Honda Collection Halls in Motegi

Fri, 14 Oct 2011

I thought you may have to be from a certain era to enjoy the Honda Collection Halls in Motegi but I was wrong. This immaculate museum has hundreds of race and road bikes on display starting with the first ever (wooden) motorcycle built right up to the amazing machines Pedrosa and co are campaigning this year. Being part of the Honda owned Motegi Twin Ring circuit complex, I was expecting it to be a Honda only zone so was amazed to see lots of iconic bikes from other manufacturers also on display.
