Honda Other description

Please check my other auctions for original very low hour 1999 Honda XR100R, 1994 Honda Z50R , and 1986 Honda TRX70. Keep your eyes out for my future auctions as I am thinning my personal collection. These bikes are listed to sell so feel free to make a reasonable offer.

Buyers with less than 10 positive feedback, please contact me before bidding. Failure to do so will result in bid cancellation and and blockage from future auction.

I bought this bike brand new the week they came out. Just serviced at honda with brand new tires and oil change, hasn't been ridden since service. 1711 miles. I am not a big 'modification guy' as i would prefer the reliability of a stock machine but...anyone that has ridden a stock grom would have to agree that they leave a little to be desired in the overall power and top end department

Aftermarket parts are as follows:
-181cc takegawa big bore kit (cylinder, piston, cam) -installed after break in (600miles)
-sprockets and o-ring chain (to adjust gearing/manage power)
-speedo corrector (to make digital speedometer read correctly)
-integrated LED tail light (blinkers built in)
-rear fender delete/tidy up license plate mount ( high quality aluminum)

All of the above were installed at the Honda Dealership in Metuchen NJ. This big bore kit/gearing is the best and most reliable upgrade to this bike. Takegawa is japanese top of the line, no chinese or knock off stuff. Unlike a stock grom that will lose mph up a slight incline and have trouble with a larger person or riding 2 -up, this Grom pulls/gains mph up hills, carries a passenger with ease, and has reached a top speed or 78mph. It has not missed a beat since day 1, starts-runs-sounds like a stock honda. No air box or filter modifications so washing/riding in the rain is not an issue. I have all original parts which are included in the sale along with the clear NJ title, all paperwork, and receipts.

If you have any questions not discussed above or below please feel free to call me 732-772-5545.

TERMS: $100 deposit through paypal- balance by cashiers check or cash. All funds must be cleared prior to vehicle release.

I do not offer any type of shipping, crating, or payment plans. If you need it shipped or financed please have the logistics sorted out prior to bidding.

Maybe the Evo class is the future for WSB?

Thu, 05 May 2011

Did we see the future of World Superbike racing last weekend at the BSB event? Possibly, but only if everyone is on Evo spec machines in 2012. By setting the 2nd fastest lap in race one and running second for a while in race two, the brilliant Alex Lowes proved that with a good grid position an Evo spec machine can be competitive for part race distance at least.
