Honda Rebel description

For sale is my 1987 Honda Rebel 450. This was the last year this particular bike was made before the Harley Davidson/Honda lawsuit. This is a great motorcycle for new riders. Still a great all around bike for anyone! I've had the carburetors completely disassembled, cleaned and synced within the last month from an authorized Honda Powersports Dealer. It's in excellent running condition. Oil was changed 1 month ago, and all o-rings and gaskets were replaced. I also have a new set of 4 turn signals, brand new OEM, ready to be installed. All original turn signals are in working condition. Two are taped, as shown in photos- one needs a screw and the other needs a stem (a few bucks on eBay). I have owned it for three months. Kept under a cover for one month, garage kept the previous 2 months. 18,975 miles. Small dent on front of gas tank is only visible when bike is  parked. License plate holder is missing a reflector. Occasionally when it's cold a squeaking can be heard from the front of the bike. Never have had any problems though.  No rust on exhaust, only some discoloration where it appears that something was spilled on it (before I owned it). The tank has a few spots right inside, but they do not look like rust. I have never had a problem with rust in the tank. This bike really is in great condition for its age, and will run for a great deal longer as long as it is properly maintained. Also comes with Clymer Maintenance book. Ready to ride! PayPal or Cashiers check only, buyer is responsible for pickup/shipping. Thanks!

Actual Motorcycle or My Little Pony Character?

Thu, 29 Nov 2012

1 of 6Next Last A little while ago, we published a review of a motorcycle Honda produces for the Indian market called the Unicorn Dazzler. Yes, that’s the actual name of a production motorcycle designed by Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, a Honda subsidiary. In his review of the 150cc motorcycle, Rajeev Gaikwad said the Honda Unicorn Dazzler was “a handsome commuter with an enthusiastic and proven engine” though it was underwhelming in terms of performance and handling as the higher-priced successor to the regular Honda Unicorn also sold in India.

Those of you with a penchant for coffee table books will love this little gem from Japan. Honda Design 1957-1984 does exactly what it says on the tin and allows us an insight to the work behind many of our favourite motorcycles. Sketches, pre-production drawings and plenty of retro pictures of a golden era.
