2013 Dakar Rally Results

Cyril Despres won his fifth career Dakar Rally while helping KTM win for the 12th consecutive time, in taking the motorcycle class in the 2013 edition of the famed off-road race. KTM was again the dominant manufacturer with the top five finishers in the motorcycle class riding motorcycles from the Austrian manufacturer. Despres finished with an overall time of 43:24:22 for the win, including a 15-minute penalty for swapping an engine after the one he was using in his KTM 450 Rallye failed.

LEGENDARY JAPANESE tuning house Yoshimura has designed a series of slip-on performance end cans for Honda’s naked CB1000R.The brand new EEC-approved cans bolt straight onto the bike's exiting pipework and feature a stainless steel end cone and integral lower Yoshimura logoed cat-converter heat shield. Even with the dB-Killer baffle in place peak power is improved, as is mid-range torque with further performance gains available if the baffle is removed.A full race mid-pipe, extracting yet more power is on the way and will be available later in the year. Chasing Summer – Baja Champions Star in Red Bull Web Series [Video]

Kendall Norman and Cody Quinn are starring in a new YouTube video series produced by Red Bull, featuring the two multiple-time Baja winners preparing for the 2011 Baja 1000. The two riders teamed up with Hollywood stunt rider Logan Holladay to win the 2011 Baja 1000 for the JCR Honda team in November. To prepare for the competition, Norman, a six-time Baja 1000 and Baja 500 champion, and Quinn, four-time Baja 1000 winner, rode  Honda CRF450Xs on a 12-day, 2800-mile off-road trip exploring the terrain between San Diego and Baja.
