Honda Valkyrie description

My 2000 Honda Valkyrie Tourer Is A Great Find. And With Only 23173 Original Miles At The Time Of This Posting, It's Ready For Many Years Of Providing Riding Pleasure. And it spent its entire life in dry dry Arizona and is a rust free Valkyrie.

As I'm sure many of you know, these motors are basically a beefed up version of the 1500cc Gold Wing powerplant that is famous for going 150-200k miles and still be running strong. And with only 23173 original miles at the time of this posting, this beautiful 2000 Honda Valkyrie Tourer will provide years and years of riding pleasure to its new owner.

And this particular 2000 Honda Valkyrie Tourer was given way better maintenance than most. The 2 timing belts and the front fork seals were replaced about 6 months ago.

The timing belt replacement is amazingly important yet most people don't even know this. If you lose a timing belt while the engine is running, it is virtually guaranteed that you will ruin the motor. These timing belts are presumed to be good for 100,000 miles but that doesn't take the element of time. The rubber can dry out after so many years. So this is something you won't  have to worry about again for years to come with this bike.

And this is an intelligent suggestion for preventative maintenance for anyone who owns an older bike with timing belt(s).

Check out the stylish and expensive Gold Plating on the swing arm cover, the engine intake manifolds and the valve cover screws. Also on the tank emblem as well. It doesn't show that great in these photos but it's a dramatic effect and looks great.

Also there is a red engine LED display for nighttime effects if you want to amaze people. Again, it doesn't show up well in these daytime photos, but it's a great effect.

It has some incredibly nice High Density Front Running Lights which look really sharp and of course add safety as they help you see better and others see you better.

It also has a nice manual cruise control to take some pressure off your wrist on those longer rides.

The bike has never been dropped or down.

.

And of course the optional backrest for both the rider and passenger make for a more comfortable ride and both riders smiling at the end of that long ride.

The rear tire is in good shape having been replaced about 2 years ago. The front tire has more wear and could use replacement after this riding season in my opinion.

For the money it is truly doubtful you will find a nicer example of a 2000 Honda Valkyrie Tourer anywhere. No disappointments with this one. I will cooperate with the shipper of your choice or you can fly into the El Paso International Airport where I will pick you up and you can ride it home. And it will be a great ride.

No Foreign Buyers Please....however I will work with buyers from Canada & Mexico

I can be reached at 915-276-1505 if you have any questions.

2014 Honda CB1100 EX Revealed

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

Alongside the updated 2014 CB1100, Honda revealed a new variant it calls the CB1100 EX. Both 2014 models were announced at the Tokyo Motor Show but we’re still waiting to hear whether Honda will be coming stateside. The difference between the regular CB1100 and the EX are not that apparent, and at quick glance, it may be difficult to tell them apart.

Honda Fury Special Edition Controversy?

Fri, 17 Jul 2009

It seems the idea that there is a “special edition” Honda Fury has achieved urban-legend levels. Motorcycle.com recently spoke to Jon Seidel of American Honda to clarify some of the controversy generated in www.furyforums.com regarding a special edition Fury model. According to Seidel, no mention was ever made to the media during the Fury’s press unveiling or in any press material or at any other time, “that any Fury color or specific Fury model was a special edition.” Seidel stated that he also queried Honda’s product planning department about the existence of any special edition models and reported that no information had ever been released or implied from Honda Product Planning as to the existence of a Fury SE.

Honda Reports Q1 2014-2015 Sales Results

Tue, 29 Jul 2014

Honda reported sales of 4.137 million motorcycles over its first quarter ended June 30, 2014. That represents a 2.0% increase over the results of the same quarter the previous year, which doesn’t sound like much. But then you remember that 2.0% still represents an additional 83,000 motorcycles (including ATVs), such is the scale involved in a company like Honda.
