Indian Unleashes Sturgis Event Schedule

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

Indian’s recently introduced Roadmaster may be stealing all of the headlines, but the motorcycle company isn’t stopping there. The Indian event schedule for 74th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is packed with events designed to capture the attention of Indian owners and possibly create some new Indian owners. As one would expect, Indian will have its entire model line available for the public to lust for and fondle at the Indian Motorcycle Display at 3rd and Lazelle.

The Indian Motorcycle Company has registered new motorcycle names

Tue, 02 Jun 2020

The Guardian and Pursuit names will apparently be the versions based on the new Indian Challenger. Introduced at the end of last year, the Indian Challenger immediately attracted some attention thanks to very interesting "stuffing". It is equipped with a liquid-cooled overhead engine with a displacement of 1769cc PowerPlus - the most powerful V-twin in Indian history, it develops 122 hp at 5500 rpm and 178 Nm at 3800 rpm.

Collection Of Rare Indian Motorcycles Up For Auction, March 8

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

On March 8, four rare Indian motorcycles, some of which date back over a century, will be up for auction at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. Now in its 16th year, the single-day sale includes a stunning roster of more than 80 investment-quality vehicles including a stellar group of early Indian motorcycles. The oldest of the collection is a 1909 Indian 5HP Light Twin. This model is significant as it marks Indian’s departure from using modified bicycle frames to incorporating loop frames, previously only seen on the company’s racing motorcycles. A new, streamlined torpedo-type gas tank was fitted between the upper and lower tank rails, and oil was carried in a large capacity half-gallon tank that was fixed to the frame beneath the seat.
