Indian Chief description

1953 Indian Chief For Sale - Restored from New Old Stock Parts

This bike took 30 years of one mans passion to assemble.
In 1964 Bob Stark purchased the frame and motorcases. Starting a bike restoration with so few pieces seemed daunting. However, what he decided to do is incredible. He spent 30 years researching, locating, and obtaining New Old Stock parts to complete the restoration of this 1953 Indian Chief.

A bike can be restored many times, but it can only be considered new one time. This bike is the closest that can ever be obtained to factory new. We unwrapped parts from original factory wrapping, cleaned them up and installed them on this one of a kind motorcycle.

This bike has been completely restored and assembled by Bob Stark, Owner of Starklite Cycle. It is ready to ride. (Although if you do ride the bike we would recommend changing the tires to a new tire instead of the original Dunlops that are currently on the bike). This bike is probably the only New Old Stock 1953 Indian Chief in the world!
We have not started the bike. When the bike is sold we will give the winning bidder the option to have us start this New Old Stock Bike, or keep it as a showpiece.

New Indian Commercial Pokes Fun At Harley-Davidson

Thu, 18 Jul 2013

The big news in the motorcycle world this year is the return of Indian motorcycles. Earlier this year, parent company Polaris unveiled the all-new Thunderstroke 111 engine as a sneak peak to the 2014 Chief which is set to make its official debut at Sturgis at the beginning of August. To prepare for this momentous occasion, Indian produced this commercial, which takes a nice, healthy jab at the iconic Motor Company.
