This is a rare 2001 custom Indian Themed VW TRIKE built in Phoenix Arizona by Apache Springs Trike. The power is from a chromed out 1835cc VW with a 4 gear AUTOMATIC transmission and reverse. This trike has won BEST IN SHOW @ The Cow Chip Boogie and Top of the World Cruise proving to be a show bike that rides well. All 50 States Ranked For Highest Motorcycle Ownership Per Capita
Tue, 18 Feb 2014In a recent study done ranking each of the 50 states (and the District of Columbia) by motorcycle ownership per capita, South Dakota ranked the best. There are a total of 69,284 motorcycles registered in the state, according to the Department of Transportation, and with a total population of 816,598, when you do the math, there’s roughly 12 people in South Dakota for every motorcycle. Considering South Dakota is the home of the Sturgis rally, its ranking on this list may not be much of a surprise.
Polaris Reports Q2 2013 Results
Tue, 23 Jul 2013Polaris Industries reports a 11.8% increase in net sales and a 14.6% increase in profit over the quarter ended June 30, 2013. The company earned a record $80 million in profit in the quarter, compared to $69.8 million in the same quarter last year. Most of the gains however were from Polaris’ off-road vehicles, its GEM, Goupil and Aixam small vehicles and sales of parts, garments and accessories including Klim apparel.
2014 Bajaj Pulsar 375 – The Fully-Faired Indian Version of the KTM 390 Duke Spied
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Indian website Powerdrift has uncovered photographs of what it claims to be a Bajaj Pulsar 375, a faired sportbike based on the KTM 390 Duke. A Bajaj-branded version of the 390 Duke should be no surprise. The Indian company, after all, owns a 47% stake in Austrian-based KTM, and it released its own version of the 200 Duke in the 2012 Bajaj Pulsar 200NS.
