Putting my 2016 690 KTM Enduro R up for sale. The bike was purchased in Kansas, in May of 2016. After several friends purchased Harley's this summer, I have followed suit. As much as I'd like to keep both... The bike is really close to new. There are a couple scuffs on the shrouds, and on the fender. All from riding it through some trees out west. From 6 feet away, the bike looks new! The knobby tires have been changed to Shinko's, which are more suited for pavement. The stock tires only have 400 miles on them, and will be included with the sale. A hitch mounted bike carrier is also going to be included. This made hauling the bike very convenient. I hauled it from Kansas to Michigan at highway speeds with not one issue to mention. The passenger pegs, grab handles, manuals, and factory toolkit are included. The stock mirrors have been replaced with small stick on type. The rear view is clear and convenient. These sell for $10,500, plus a $500 assembly and $500 freight charges. Bringing the total to $11,500 plus taxes! Save yourself a couple grand by winning this auction! You will not be let down by the condition. 2012 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Class Nominees Announced
Tue, 03 Apr 2012The American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation released its list of nominees for the AMA Hall of Fame Museum induction class of 2012. The 26 nominees represents a wide range of contributions to motorcycling, from motocross champions and Daytona 200 winners to tuners to motorcycle rights advocates. The selection committee will further trim the list down to six individuals, three from competition categories and three from non-competition categories.
AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days A Rousing Success
Mon, 29 Jul 2013AMA members and motorcyclists from across the country celebrated the people, machines and sport of motorcycling at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, featuring the riders and champions of Husqvarna, over the July 19-21 weekend. The annual gathering of tens of thousands of motorcycling enthusiasts participated in vintage racing, took in numerous bike shows, met their motorcycling heroes, purchased vintage parts and motorcycles in the massive swap meet, spent time with old friends, and met new ones, all at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The AMA and the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation, which oversees the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, extend their appreciation to AMA members, racers, enthusiasts, collectors, restorers, fans, clubs, companies and others who supported the three-day celebration of motorcycling’s history and heroes.
2012 KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition – Ryan Dungey Replica Announced
Thu, 05 Jan 2012Days before the start of the 2012 AMA Supercross season and Ryan Dungey’s debut on the 450 SX-F, KTM has unveiled the production version of the motocrosser featuring a new engine and chassis. The 2012 KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition is equipped with a fuel-injected 449cc four-stroke engine paired with a five-speed transmission. The new engine has a 95mm bore and a 63.4mm stroke, compared to the previous version’s 97mm x 60.8mm engine.
