KTM MC-5 400 description

Hello,

This listing is for a 1978 KTM MC-5 400,complete bike with great spark and excellent compression.Has a newer front tire,UNI air filter and a rare original Hoss front fender.I drained the carb before trying to start it and got it running but it will need a carb clean as it wont take any throttle and dies without the choke. This is not a perfect restored KTM but would make a great Vintage racer or a great restoration piece. What I know it will need is a new rear tire, forks seal's,seat cover(see picture) Works shocks will need serviced(no dampening) bottom left sidecover mount tap is there but broken and a mx rear fender-has a Preston Petty endure fender on it.I am no expert on these model's so please ask all question's before bidding and I will give the best answer I can. This is a pickup only motorcycle deal, sorry I do not have the time to crate or deliver to a Foward Air.I work Monday-Saturday days,so please work with me on pickup.I can assist with loading.Again please ask all question's before bidding so this can be a smooth transaction.$ 200.00 Deposit within 24 hour's of auction's end through Paypal,Balance in cash at pickup.

I can be reached at 319-524-6237 after 7:00 pm central time.

Thanks

Day 11 Dakar 2014: Coma Wins, Extends Overall Lead

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

Day 11 marked the longest stage to date of the Dakar Rally, as the competitors tackled the 605km (376 miles) special stage, covering a variety of terrain, hard ground, mountains, plus 120km (75 miles) of sand and dunes in the Copiapo area. Despite this, and a fall at the beginning of the stage, Marc Coma again demonstrated his status as boss of the Dakar 2014, by picking up his third victory of the year, further reinforcing his position at the top of the general standings. Five-time Dakar winner Cyril Depres opened the piste for 400km before dropping slightly to finish just 02:31 behind Marc Coma in first.
