1983 KTM 504 NO RESERVE You Bid - You Buy Up for sale is my 1983 KTM 504 that I bought locally over the summer and rode once. I also rode it for about 15-20 minutes before doing this listing. It makes tire trenching power, idles, accelerates, shifts, and stops like it should. No smoke. The bike was set up for racing by an older gentleman years ago and it does have a Fox twin clicker rear shock. Both the rear shock and the front forks are going to need attention. The front and rear rims have screws in them to keep the tires from spinning on the rims. The kill switch will need replaced, the original seat cover has seen better days, and the front tire has a slow leak. Cold start up can be tough if the bike sits for awhile, but after it's warm it starts easily. I don't know a lot about this particular bike or model. I looked through the archives on eBay and found one like it for a Buy It Now price of $7,500.00. From what I have read this is a very rare bike. This bike is not restored - please look at the pics. KTM Teases New 1290 Naked Prototype Ahead of EICMA – Is This the New Super Duke?
Fri, 09 Nov 2012KTM has released pictures of a new 1290cc naked prototype, the so-called “Beast” whose engine roar KTM revealed earlier in the week. To be officially unveiled next week at the 2012 EICMA show, the new model is still unnamed, though judging by the brief glimpses of its styling and the KTM North American dealer meeting slide that leaked earlier this year, we’re pretty sure this new prototype will eventually become the KTM 1290 Super Duke. We’ll have more information Nov.

The Yoshimura Suzuki rider becomes the fourth different winner of the season in the 450 class through six rounds. The news was less positive for last week’s winner Chad Reed.
OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes
Sat, 01 Nov 2008KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.
