This bike is immaculate, bought brand new from Mach1 in 08. The bike has low low hours on it. You will not find a cleaner bike than this. Always maintained and cleaned after every ride. The bike sat for 3 yrs because I've been off at college. Just recently had completely serviced and the thing is running like brand new. Fast, snappy, power and the bike will make it up anything, all while weighing just barely over 200 pounds. Never raced on a track, hair scramble, enduro, nothing. All I did was trail ride. EICMA 2012: KTM 690 Duke R Brings Out Your Inner Hooligan
Wed, 14 Nov 2012The biggest news from KTM at the 2012 EICMA Show was the unveiling of the new 390 Duke and a prototype of the upcoming 1290 Super Duke R. In between these small and large naked bikes, KTM announced a new R-spec version of its middleweight 690 Duke. The 690 Duke was introduced in 2007 and received a substantial update last year with a 690cc engine claiming 67 hp, leading KTM to call it the world’s most powerful Single in a production model.
KTM Announces 2013 Factory Team, Bids Farewell to Cyril Despres
Tue, 12 Mar 2013(ED: Updated with a message from Cyril Despres.) KTM introduced its 2013 Rally Racing team while bidding farewell to five-time Dakar Rally winner Cyril Despres. Despres won all five of his Dakar victories with KTM, winning in 2005, 2007, 2010, 2012 and 2013. He leaves the team to pursue a new challenge, with Honda rumored to be seeking his services for its newly-revived rally racing program.
