125, 200 Duke Models Drive KTM Sales

KTM is off to a strong start in 2012 with a 19% increase in motorcycle sales, thanks in large part to the popularity of its 125 Duke and 200 Duke. The Austrian manufacturer says the two small capacity streetbikes form a large portion of the 8300 units it has sold so far in 2012. Based on those numbers, KTM claims it leads all European manufacturers in sales over the first few months of the year.

New pictures and video of KTM Freeride electric prototypes

We wrote about the KTM Freeride yesterday on Motorcycle.com and now the Austrian manufacturer has released new photographs of the electric motorcycle prototypes, including pictures from the official unveiling at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show. “PENTON: The John Penton Story” Trailer + Video

Fans of off-road racing will be happy to hear that after nearly six years, the public can see a sneak peak of the film “PENTON: The John Penton Story” with the newly released trailer featuring John Penton, his hall of fame family and a few of the motorcycle industry legends that were interviewed for the film. The nearly four-minute trailer teases the entire film and specific stories the audience will get to see in the final film when it opens in theaters on June 20th. Scored by the film’s composer and music editor Chris Brady, the trailer features: John Penton along with his sons Jack, Jeff and Tom.
