Kawasaki Ninja description

Priced for a quick sale. Cash only.I'm the 2nd owner of this bike. It has low mileage (less than 9k) but needs some attention. Most of it's life it was stored in a garage but has been outside for the last few months. When I acquired it I paid a mechanic to clean the carbs and do some other misc. tune-up. It was running strong until the rain hit and it sat for a couple months. Now it's acting finicky and I suspect it's something related to the carbs again. When it was running well it overheated fairly easily in stop-and-go traffic so I bought a new thermostat but I haven't taken the time to install it. The rear brakes need to be serviced (sticking) as well but all they should need is pads and a good cleaning/greasing. New pads are included in the sale (but not the installation). The plastic is in attractive condition for the age of the bike. 1 exception is a small area on the right side below the gas tank where I got a little careless with the heat gun while removing decals which left some wrinkling in the plastic. Al of the decals have been removed except for the ones on the tank which are clearcoated over. The bike has a sleek blacked out look and people that aren't familiar with the model are generally curious about it.The bike is pretty much stock except for the vance and hines pipe. I think my friend (the original owner) still has the stock pipe but it's in Maine so I wouldn't be able to get my hands on it for a month or two.Update: My friend knocked the bike over backing out of the driveway with his truck. No damage would have be incurred BUT it happened to fall on a stack of plank siding which took a small chunk out of the upper part of the left fairing (near the left hand grip). Because of this I am lowering the price. The damaged fairing in no way effects the handling and operation of the bike.If you are mechanically inclined or have a mefhanic friend that works on your machines at a reduced rate, this is an amazing bik for the money. Great winter project that will result in some wonderful spring/summer riding!I will consider trades for quality power tools (thickness planer, tablesaw, sliding compound miter saw, etc), a propane refrigerator, a small working tractor, portable sawmill and possibly other things. New: WSB sticker kit for Kawasaki ZX-10R

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

IF you have a ZX-10R and want it to look more like Tom Sykes' WSBK bike, then this sticker kit is a good start and saves you the £100,000 you'd have to spend to build the real thing. Here's what Kawasaki have to say about it:  As the premier road motorcycle based racing series, the World Superbike Championship is followed by racing enthusiasts across the globe – none more so than in Europe where the Kawasaki Racing Team, is based. UK born rider, Tom Sykes and Frenchman Loris Baz have entertained all year and both have a strong fan base eager to see how Kawasaki’s factory team and riders perform.

The Real "screamer": Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R

Wed, 05 Aug 2020

It seemed that the glorious times of the tiny "fours" - 250cc sportbikes with boosted engines to almost 50 hp are long gone. But the Indonesian branch of the Kawasaki enterprise resurrected this breed! The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R sportbike with a 51hp at 15,500 rpm four-cylinder engine is entering the local market, as well as the markets of some other countries of the Far East, including Japan.

FIM Releases New WSBK Rules – Updates Include Pitstops, Weight Limits and Headlight Decals

Wed, 17 Oct 2012

The International Motorcycling Federation and the Superbike Racing Commission released a number of amendments to the 2013 World Superbike Championship rulebook including pitstops, fake headlights and a revised starting grid alignment. We’ve already seen the fake headlights with Kawasaki getting a jump on the new regulation earlier this season with headlight decals on Tom Sykes‘ and Loris Baz‘s ZX-10R. Starting in 2013, all superbikes will have fake headlights to resemble their homologated production models.
