Kawasaki Other description

This beautiful 1972 blue Kawasaki H2 750 was restored in the mid-90's by the current owner, ridden briefly, then retired to the garage. This bike has black after-market expansion chambers but also includes the original chrome exhausts; also, there are dual disc brakes/calipers on the front wheel. The engine kicks over, the cylinders have compression, it shifts through all gears, but some maintenance should be expected to make it road ready after being garaged for 20 years.

Included:

  • set of 3 chrome exhaust pipes
  • dual front disc brakes
  • additional matching front fender
  • additional matching rear tail section with reflectors and decals
  • two large boxes of parts that were surplus following restoration included “as is”, some are NOS

See closeup photo for imperfectly repaired seat; replacement covers are available and inexpensive through several eBay sellers. This is the only known flaw, otherwise this bike has no dents, dings, chips, etc.

VINs are H2F-22439 (frame) and  H2E-22559 (engine); to my best knowledge these numbers have never matched, that's how it came from the factory.

This is a very nice and highly collectible bike, and it has a clear title issued in North Carolina.

Oh hi there Mobil!

There was a time when Grand Prix racing was a lucrative affair, with the bikes and their riders resembling the fag packets that sponsored them. However, two unfortunate and costly blows hit the paddock; the banning of tobacco advertising in 2005 followed by the global economic crisis. The off-shoot saw grid numbers drastically dwindle with staple teams, like Kenny Roberts' outfit, and manufacturers, Kawasaki and Suzuki, succumbing to the events and disappearing.

The sport of drifting in the car world has been entertaining motorsports enthusiasts for years, spawning national race series across the globe.  And this genre is now gaining a foothold in the motorcycle world. In the video below, we see these worlds collide as a Corvette-powered Mazda RX-7 battles a stretched Kawasaki ZX-10R in a drift competition produced by Icon Motorsports. The Ninja is ridden by Nick “Apex” Brocha, smoking his ZX’s fat rear tire against the RX at Sandia Motorsports Park in New Mexico.
