I completely restored this bike a couple years ago and its been sitting in my shop covered ever since. The bike was completely taken down the frame and painted parts taken down to bare metal and painted with PJ1 frame paint. The engine was completely disassembled inspected and rebuilt. There was no frame damage and the bike has never been down to my knowledge. The bike starts nice and runs and drives and shifts very nice. There are no oil leaks and the bike is like new very close to show quality. The small owners manual is in fair condition for its age. There is no tool kit . The bike has 5 miles on it and needs to be broken in like a brand new bike. The original exhaust is all thats missing for it to be %100 original and complete. The 4 into 1 exhaust thats on there now I believe is an old school Yoshimura pipe in decent shape.The frame # is Z1F-065202 and the engine is Z1E-065429 and the build date is 12/74 and is a matching #s bike. Mon, 14 May 2012BMW earned its first-ever World Superbike race win at the U.K.’s Donington Park, but missed out on sweeping the round after teammates Leon Haslam and Marco Melandri crashed on the final corner while battling for the lead in the second race. Melandri earned BMW its landmark first win in Race One leading Haslam in a one-two finish. They could have repeated that finish in Race Two but Haslam low-sided after making contact with Honda‘s Jonathon Rea trying to pass on the inside.

Thu, 26 Apr 2012A big thanks to all at Newcastle Motorcycles for lending me a Honda CB1000F on Saturday to do nothing other than join mates for a blast round some fantastic roads in the North East. The buddies in question were Alan Smith (Bradley’s dad) and two stroke addict and race fan Chris Berriman. We headed east over the moors from the ‘Toon’ heading towards Barnard Castle then back through Consett before finishing up at the picturesque Tynemouth.
