Kawasaki Other description

I have for sale the iconic 1977 KZ1000 bike that is very collectible.  This is the first year the 1000 was offered.

This bike has had only 2 owners.  My friend bought it brand new the year it was released, which he had up until a few years ago.  He took very good care of it and was always stored in the winter.  He did not ride it about 12 years up till I got, his health was not good.  So when I purchased from him I had to do a little work to get running, but not much.

The carb gaskets and O-rings have been replaced, petcock O-rings and seals, throttle cable and tachometer cable all replaced.  One coil has been changed out.  The rear tire is new, the front tire looks like is in good condition so I have never replaced. The bike runs great, I ride to work often, take kids for rides once in awhile, always starts and is reliable.  Is definitely a head turner.  The only issue is with the turning signals, when the throttle is pulled back the signals are still and not blinking, but when I shift and let off the throttle they blink fine.  I have not had time to dig into this to figure out.  The bike could probably use a tune up, I have never taken in to sync carbs or anything else, was kind of a project for me and the bike runs good so never took in. I am not really wanting to get rid of but trying to raise money for a truck.

I believe most of the bike is original, no air pods or other modifications, exhaust is original.  I am not sure about the sissy bar.  It does come off and go on in about 10 minutes and is good for some luggage or if you have passengers.  I believe he told me the seat was an upgrade, which is comfortable and in really good condition.  It comes with the tool kit as seen in pictures. There is a scratch on the side of the tank, not real noticeable. I really like the aged color of the tank though, looks good. Also some of the paint is off the handle bar by the brake fluid reservoir, the previous owner accidentally spilled a little fluid on.  Other than that for being 40 years old is a sweet bike.  With a good polishing could be a show bike for sure.

I am trying to cover as many details as I can but please feel free to send me a message about anything and I will be glad to answer.

This motorcycle will have to be picked up, I live in the Southwest corner of Michigan.  Once picked up could go for a nice ride along Lake Michigan. Would like to receive full payment within 2 weeks of purchase.  Will take a Bank Check or Cash would be preferred of course.

Thanks for looking, hope this bike goes to someone who can appreciate a quality bike.

Lady Moto Gymkhana: ‘You Ride Like A Girl’ – Video

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

A time-tested putdown among boys and adult males is the “You throw like a girl” insult meant to highlight the targeted male’s inability to throw some object with the appropriate force needed to get the object moving and continuing along the correct trajectory. In other words, as the male of your species you should posses the innate ability to throw a ball, but instead you lob it overhand like a female that’s never thrown a pitch or a pass in her life. Of course, the action verb throw is replaceable with just about any action the insulter wishes.

Wed, 05 Aug 2020

It seemed that the glorious times of the tiny "fours" - 250cc sportbikes with boosted engines to almost 50 hp are long gone. But the Indonesian branch of the Kawasaki enterprise resurrected this breed! The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R sportbike with a 51hp at 15,500 rpm four-cylinder engine is entering the local market, as well as the markets of some other countries of the Far East, including Japan.
