Kawasaki Other description

This auction is for a Dual Purpose, on - off road, Kawasaki Ke100 motorcycle which is street legal and looks pretty good.  Also included is another Ke100 Parts bike.  The last picture is the parts bike.

The motorcycle has a new battery, air cleaner and a big bore kit of 0.050 overbore with a new piston and rings.

I drove the motorcycle for the past many years and when I parked it last fall and then tried to start it this spring, the carbs were clogged, so I cleaned them and they are good.

However, the coil is bad and needs to be replaced.  I changed the coil a couple of years ago from the parts bike when it had the same problem.  Then the bike would run great until it hit full throttle then it would cut out.  I closed the gap on the spark plug to 0.020 and it worked good.  So I replaced the coil, as I have said, and after a couple of years, this other used coil started acting the same way.  Now it only kicks over and coughs then dies.  The spark is too week and doesn't fire properly under combustion chamber pressure, so the coil needs replaced.

I'm a disabled vet and only drove the bike a couple of hundred miles each year and now I'm not able to work on it, so I quit and am putting the bike up for sale.

There is a small dent in the tank and some small rust spots on other parts of the bike.  The chain and sprockets are very good shape.  The tires have small weather cracks that are just starting but are still very usable and have a lot of tread on them.  The seat and everything is in good shape.  It should have new front fork seals.  The headlight has either the high or low beam burned out, I can't remember which.  It has a new air cleaner, and battery which I put in it last year.  The points and condenser are in good shape.  The bike is in very good condition but needs some TLC.  It is fun to ride and can go anywhere.

The spare parts bike has most of the original parts on it.

There is no guarantee and no returns, all sales are final.  Buyer must pick up.

Thank you for viewing this listing and have a very nice day.

WSBK 2012: Assen Results

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick.
