For sale is a completely reconditioned 1983 Kawasaki KZ1100 LTD. I am the 2nd owner of this low mileage (18k), well maintained muscle bike. This is the last year of the vaunted Z1 platform. Everything has been gone through and all electrics work as they should. The bike has a four into 1 header and Ramair filters which were designed specifically for the 34mm Mikuni CV carbs, which have been restored and jetted appropriately. Chrome is flawless. Paint is original, with some sun fade on the top of the tank but looks great. Original owner misplaced the side covers but I was able to source out a set on ebay (rare and expensive)and sprayed them black. New battery and rubber. Petcock restored. Good brakes. Replaced the high US bars for Superbike bars (have the original)and the flashers for some slick mini turn signals.This sweet machine is smooth and very powerful and is a great, last example of a Kaw DUAL OVERHEAD CAM air-cooled liter bike. The header gives this bike a great subtle roar.Photos don't do it justice.Price is more then reasonable considering the bike and its condition. Clear TX title. Mon, 04 Jun 2012John McGuinness put another notch in his belt, capturing his 19th career victory in the Isle of Man TT by winning the Royal London 360 Superstock TT race. Despite leading all active racers in TT wins, the Superstock victory was just the first in that category for McGuinness. The Honda rider led from start to finish in the four-lap Superstock TT race.

Sykes Staying with Kawasaki Through 2016 WSBK Season
Tue, 19 Aug 2014Reigning World Superbike Champion Tom Sykes has signed a contract extension with Kawasaki to see him continue to ride for Team Green through the 2016 season. Sykes, who currently holds a 44-point lead over Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli with three rounds remaining in the season, has been with Kawasaki since 2010. Since hopping on board the Ninja ZX-10R superbike, Sykes has won 22 WSBK races and holds a record for 23 Superpoles in the current qualifying format.
