Now, this a 2000 W650. If you're looking at this ad, you probably know what they are. This is one of Kawasaki's best models in the world. They sell very well in Canada and Europe. Unfortunately, Kawasaki only brought them to the States for 2 years. If you can find one now, they are usually pretty ragged out or have been chopped up. There are two on eBay right now that don't even come close to comparing to this bike.

Some specifics:

I am the second owner of this bike and here is the story the original owner gave me. He bought this bike new and then gave it to his friend who owns a Triumph dealership and told him to make it into a Triumph. As you can see by the pictures, he did a great job!! He then parked the bike in his home office. He ran it periodically to keep everything fresh. After many years of this, his wife told him to either start riding it or sell it. I bought it from him in 2008 with 850 miles on it and it has been garage kept ever since. As it is one of several bikes I own, it has not been ridden much. Hence the 1494 miles on it!! I realize the picture shows 1391, but I have added some since the picture for the original ad was taken. I recently replaced the battery and tires on the bike. Not because they needed it, but because I knew I was going to sell it and would not sell a bike with old tires on it. Their tread was exactly what you would expect from 1300 miles and they were not dry rot but, old tires are just not safe and I wouldn't sell it to someone with them still on there.

As you can see by the pictures, I am also including a Corbin seat and backrest which cost me about $600.00. Also included is an original handlebar so you can return it to stock very easily. 2 oil filters and a manual will also be included. This bike is not new, is being sold as-is and it's not perfect but, it's about as close as you're going to find these days. The word I would use to describe it would be Fantastic. Apparently the judges at the 9th Annual Mid-Atlantic International Motorcycle Show thought so too. They awarded it 1st Place in it's Special Interest Class. Happy bidding and thanks for looking.

ZX-10R. Worth the weight?

Thu, 18 Nov 2010

The whisper on pit lane is that 2011 will be a good year for the green K. Our moles within the racing circles tell us that apart from more power and less weight (always handy), the new ZX-10R's main advantage is not these two factors but rather its improved weight distribution, weight transference qualities and grip levels. Studying Tom Syke's lap time data from Kawasaki's public test sessions it seems it's much easier for him to maintain consistent fast lap times back-to-back over the whole range of tyre degradation and fuel load changes.

2012 Kawasaki Versys 1000 Makes North American Debut in Canada

Wed, 11 Jan 2012

As we’ve previously reported, the new Kawasaki Versys 1000 will not be imported to the U.S, but it will be available in North America in Canada as a 2012 model. Kawasaki Canada presented the Versys 1000 at its display at this past weekend’s North American International Motorcycle Supershow in Toronto, for the new “adventure sport” model’s debut on this side of the Atlantic. While he can’t speak for Kawasaki USA’s decision making, Bob Calwell, district manager for Kawasaki Canada, he does note that the Canadian company does have a history of making different product selections.

Ryan Villopoto returned to the top of the podium and extended his lead in the 2012 AMA Supercross Championship to 13 points with a victory at the Edwards Jones Dome in St. Louis, Mo. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider had his win streak snapped at three after losing to Red Bull KTM‘s Ryan Dungey last week in Atlanta, Ga., but Villopoto returned to form in St.
