One-Off Ferrari Tribute Motorcycle Sold for $137,700

Wed, 02 May 2012

A one-off officially-endorsed Ferrari motorcycle has been sold at auction, taking in 85,000 British pounds (US$137,700). That’s a hefty sum for a motorcycle, but far less from the initial reserve price of 180,000 pounds asked for when the bike was first up for auction in 2008. The Ferrari motorcycle was designed and built by former MV Agusta engineer David Kay in 1995 as a tribute to the Italian car-maker’s founder, Enzo Ferrari.

ZAG Racing To Campaign MV Agusta F3 In AMA Supersport

Tue, 02 Apr 2013

Inspired by the success of the ParkinGo MV Agusta team in World Supersport competition, where Robby Rolfo was in the hunt for a podium position before crashing out, ZAG Racing, from Las Vegas, Nevada, will race a MV Agusta F3 in select AMA races with rider Javelin Broderick.  The team will spend the remainder of the 2013 season developing the 675cc, three-cylinder MV for a full-on assault at the 2014 Supersport season. Focusing mainly on west coast races this year, ZAG Racing will compete in MWGP, M1GP and WERA rounds that don’t conflict with the AMA schedule. They’ll also develop the bike at various trackdays.

World Supersport 2013: Donington Park Race Report – MV Agusta’s First Podium in World Championship 37 Years

Mon, 27 May 2013

Yakhnich Yamaha rider Sam Lowes won his World Supersport Championship-leading third win of the season, finishing ahead of Mahi Racing India Kawasaki‘s Kenan Sofuoglu, but the biggest news coming out of Donington Park was the third place finisher, Roberto Rolfo of the ParkinGo MV Agusta team. Rolfo finished third despite starting 16th on the grid, earning the first podium in a World Championship race for MV Agusta since Giacomo Agostini won the 1976 500cc German Grand Prix at Nürburgring. Lowes took the early lead from pole position followed by Kawasaki Intermoto’s Florian Marino and Sofuoglu.
