MV Agusta F4 description

2004 Mv Agusta F4 - SPR, Very rare bike, #71 of 300 in the world, not showroom perfect but still very beautiful! - F4 SPR: THE CULT OF SPEED The SPR is the fastest and most powerful F4 of the MV AGUSTA 2003 range. Created for the clientele that uses the motorcycle mainly on tracks, the SPR is a synthesis of a long tuning process to the Evolution engine. The technical staff at MV AGUSTA designed a new cylinder head, new inlet ducts, and redesigned the combustion chamber. Also thanks to the new "MAHLE" pistons, stamped and with cooling oil jets, the SPR engine reaches a stratospheric threshold of the rev limiter at 13,900rpm. A further and significant development involved the primary transmission, now with shorter ratios, equipped with a reinforced clutch. As a demonstration of its racing spirit, the SPR comes with a close ratio gearbox whilst having a long first gear with respect to the SENNA model; this solution in conjunction with the possibility to choose three different final transmission ratios, allows one to match the motorcycle’s performance to any type of track. Those of whom will use the SPR on track may further increase performance by adopting the RG3 open exhaust, available as an option. On a vehicle conceived for such an extreme use, much attention has been directed towards weight reduction, working not only on the engine but also on many components concerning the bodywork. In fact, numerous parts in carbon fiber are evident: the front mudguard, the ignition system cover, and the upper and lower chain-guard protections. Apart from their inherent properties of light weight and mechanical resistance, these give greater product value to the aesthetics. Even the graphical choices underline the "racing" philosophy of this model. The SPR is available only in opaque black enriched by unique graphical details aimed at underlining the more impressive performance and sports characteristics. 2014 WSBK – Sepang Results

Mon, 09 Jun 2014

The first ever World Superbike round in Malaysia offered a plenty of drama including both factory Kawasaki riders crashing out on the first lap, a red flagged second race and an overall impressive outing by Aprilia. Under pressure for his lack of results so far this season, Marco Melandri impressed, earning the double for his first career wins on the RSV4 Factory. Aprilia riders led every lap in both races at Sepang, including the red-flagged initial start for Race 2, with Sylvain Guintoli joining his teammate on the podium with a pair of second-place finishes.

MV Agusta Doubles Production Capacity as F3 Rolls Off the Line

Mon, 06 Feb 2012

MV Agusta announced it is doubling production capacity at its factory in Varese, Italy, thanks mostly to popular demand of its new F3 675 three-cylinder supersport. Thanks to the hype over new products such as the F3, its naked sibling the Brutale 675, as well as the RR1090 and R1090 Brutales, MV Agusta has already received more orders for 2012 than it had for all of 2011, which saw a 12% increase in sales over 2010. To mark the doubling of production capacity as well as the start of production for the special edition F3 Serie Oro, MV Agusta released a video of the bike being constructed on its assembly line.

2013 MV Agusta F4 Models Now Available with ABS

Thu, 11 Apr 2013

Just as it did with its four-cylinder Brutale 1090 lineup, MV Agusta announced it is adding an ABS version of its F4 models to its 2013 offerings. Available for an extra 1000 euros (US$1,311), the Bosch ABS will be available for the baseline MV Agusta F4, the more upscale F4 R and the top-of-the-line F4 RR. That’ s quite a premium, but with base prices starting at 16,990 euros for the F4 R, 19,920 euros for the F4 R and 24,290 euros for the F4 RR, MV Agusta customers might not mind paying a bit more for ABS.
