Moto Guzzi 850T description

1975 Moto Guzzi 850-T with 830 Original Miles.

I bought this from the original owners' father. The man and his son bought these new in Italy, the father was career military and the son had been drafted. The son drove the bike and dropped it on it's left side, dented the tank and scraped it a bit, the attempted repair is ugly but can easily be removed and redone properly. The bike was stored for shipment back to the US and the cylinders were filled with Marvel Mystery oil at some point, I don't know if that's good or bad, but that's what the old man  told me. Long story short the son was ultimately one of the last casualties of the Vietnam war and an only child, everything of his was kept until the couple were downsizing there lives and felt it was time to move on. The old guy swapped starters and locks for the tins, I had the starter but cannot find it, if I do it's yours but let's assume it's history. The old guy swore he had a title and he would get it to me in the moving process, I finally gave up after two years, I am however attempting to get one but let's assume it's history too! The bike really needs dismantled and redone, rims and some chrome are nice, tires are original pirellis heads etc. will all need polished seat is torn (I did that) it's been in a heated warehouse for 12 years unprotected. I realize I haven't done the beast any favors, but soon it will be someone else's treasure! I was suspect about the mileage so I have 2 BIKE NUTS look it over, they were relatively confident that it was actual for many reasons that they laid out, first of all why the hell would anybody try to scam me on a bike that isn't worth a ton to begin with and secondly the major wear points all present new enough. Call if you want, my name is Craig # is 740-591-4681

AGAIN NO TITLE YET BUT EBAY MAKES YOU PUT SOMETHING!!!!!

Fri, 28 Sep 2012

Back in March, Piaggio Vice President of design Miguel Galluzzi revealed the Italian firm would release several versions of the new Moto Guzzi California 1400 including a full touring version. We’ve seen photographs of the new California in prototype form from Piaggio‘s North American dealer meeting, but we’ve now come across a picture of what looks like the final production version in full touring trim. The picture,  appears to have been leaked from an official catalog photoshoot, shows the new Moto Guzzi California 1400 with hard bags, engine bars, extra lighting and windscreen.

And in honor of this date, the Italians have prepared a new model that, on the one hand, has retained the familiar architecture of Guzzi, on the other hand, slowly distanced itself from the past.
