Moto Guzzi Eldorado description

An absolutely wonderful eye catching vintage Italian motorcycle ready for use. They call these loopframe bikes "The Tractor" as they seem to last forever with regular maintenance. Engine and carbs was totally rebuilt professionally by the best - Harpers in Kansas City. The transmission was built from scratch from all new parts (5-speed) from the same firm. Only 1000 miles since the rebuild.
I have also updated the #1 issue with these bikes which was electrical. Replaced the factory VW type fuse panel with the modern type blade fuses. Headlight, brights and spotlamps all feed through relays saving your wiring.
Both handlebar switches are new.
Handlebar is new.
brake and clutch cables are new. (clutch is new)
Engine, Vin# and title all match.
New shocks and windscreen.
Has the ultra rare stepped level 10MPH increment police speedo. The speedo needs restoring but after restoration they are worth much more than what you have in them as they are not available. Costs about $350 to repair the speedometer. Speedo works ok up to 60 MPH then not accurate - odometer does not work and the face needs to be repaired. A vender in California can restore this fully.
Muffler isn't pretty but it's the original OEM type. They only just started reproducing these.
A modern alternator replaced the generator which weighs about 1/2.
Just about everything is available for these bikes.
Tires are practically new. (1 year and 2000 miles.)
This bike tunes like a car. Has a distributor which you can time with a light. Has a belt for the alternator and easy to adjust points. The carbs are perfect and easy to adjust. I installed the better flip chokes.

Brakes have new shoes - using the higher quality ones from Mark Etheridge's shop.
Comes with shop manual.

I built up this bike to enjoy camping trips and other short distance pleasure rides. With the hard bags and seat bag you can really haul some equipment and it rides like nothing is there. Of all motorcycles it is the easiest thing to handle in low speed maneuvers. I can do U-turns in one parking space almost. It makes you look like a pro.

Also comes with police type handlebars if you want them.
I have over $8000 in this machine. I am expanding our motorcycle rider gear store so have to sell a few things regrettably.
Comes with the hard bags but two photos show what it looks like w/o the bags.

2015 Moto Guzzi V7 II Lineup to Debut at Intermot

Piaggio will present an update Moto Guzzi V7 lineup at next week’s Intermot show in Cologne. Dubbed the V7 II, the new model family will again be available in three versions, the V7 II Stone, V7 II Racer and V7 II Special. Guzzi’s signature longitudinally-mounted engine returns, but mounted 10mm lower and tilted 4° forward, addressing rider complaints about a lack of knee space.

The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) reported a modest 1.4% growth in U.S. motorcycle and scooter sales in 2013, with consumers purchasing 465,783 vehicles. The sales data represents numbers from the MIC’s member brands which include BMW, Can-Am, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, the Piaggio Group (which includes Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa), Victory, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha.

Piaggio Announces 2011-2014 Business Plan – More Hybrids and Electric Models In the Pipeline

The Piaggio Group revealed its business plans for the next three years with a focus on developing fuel efficient engines and introducing new electric motors and hybrid powertrains. Beginning in 2012, Piaggio plans to introduce a new generation of engines with lower emissions and improved fuel economy. Examples include the new 350cc engine introduced in the Piaggio Beverly SportTouring and the fuel-injected 125cc four-stroke, three-valve engine equipped in the Vespa Quarantasei concept (which the company has apparently, and quietly, renamed as the much easier-to-pronounce Vespa 946).
