Moto Guzzi LeMans description

Selling my 1991 LeMans mk. 5 aka ci. 5500.00 obo. 42000 miles. Will help with shipping.

Here are the details;

It is one of 34 imported in 1991. 17 were red with red frames and 17 were black with red frames. It's the last of the Tonti framed Lemans. It differs from the early models in that it came with a 18 inch front wheel, frame mounted fairing, Bitudo 40mm front forks, floating brake rotors and updated switches. In the last 3000 miles it has had the heads rebuilt, new rings and guilds, 450 watt brushless charging system carbs rebuilt and new bearings in the final drive. The timing chain has been replaced with gear drive system, forks have been rebuilt, it has a dyna ignition system, Bub exhaust system, adjustable bars and remote oil filter assembly. Brakes have been unlinked with stainless lines and Corbin seat. It has a few minor bumps and bruises, chips around the headlight and front fender, rub marks on the seat, tail section and side covers. As you might expect for  42k miles. Paint is in good condition. Comes with Cortech soft luggage. I have some spares, including another set of side covers and original seat and bars. Verifiable check, cash or wire transfer only.

Thu, 12 Nov 2015

Few believe that the true spirit of the Moto Guzzi brand is hidden in the sports cars of the 1970s and 1980s. But they are still in demand. Here is a great example of this from the Hamburg workshop Kaffeemaschine.

EICMA 2013: Moto Guzzi V7 Series Updates

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

Not to be left out of the 2013 EICMA show announcements, Moto Guzzi has announced its changes for the three models that make up the V7 line. Known for their 1970s-inspired style, the V7s are built, according to Moto Guzzi press materials, “to three fundamental pillars: the 90° transverse V-twin, the timeless double cradle frame and the renowned cardan shaft final drive.” Well, one of these pillars gets a functional update for 2014. The engine now utilizes a wet flywheel instead of the previous dry alternator.

Three-Time World Champion Wayne Rainey Honored At Quail Motorcycle Gathering

Thu, 09 May 2013

Saturday, May 4 marked the 5th annual Quail Motorcycle Gathering in Carmel, California. With such a diverse collection of historical, rare and outrageous motorcycles, the Quail is an event we thoroughly enjoyed attending last year. To commemorate the occasion, this year’s guest of honor was none other than three-time 500cc Grand Prix world champion, and local area resident, Wayne Rainey.
