Other CF MOTO V5 description

2009 CF MOTO V5 250T-5

For auction is a 2009 CF MOTO V5 little cruiser.  Unit has a 250cc engine and a CVT [automatic] transmission. Though CF MOTO advertises this as a motorcycle, it is really a motor scooter that looks and acts like a motorcycle.  I bought the machine new in April 2010 for $2700.00 plus tax etc. I have added the windscreen and bags.  I didn’t like the thin seat on the unit and had that rebuilt with additional padding.  I had a custom backrest made so that you can wander down the road and lean back and relax.  The Tank Bag and Garmin GPS in the pictures do NOT go with the bike. I am keeping them. I have ridden this bike from my home in Central New York to Erie PA twice and to Buffalo NY three times.  It is a bit underpowered and on really steep inclines slows down to 50 mph. Top speed on the level is between 65-70 mph. I also added a "Poor Man's" cruise control on the throttle [see picture] and a connector for the trickle charger, charger included with sale.

The unit was serviced and inspected on April 26, 2013 and I put on two brand new tires and a new belt for the transmission.  All service and work was done at the dealership, no fly by nighters. Only squawk on the machine is the speedometer cable broke recently and I have put about 450 miles on the unit since [still driving the MC, mileage may increase]. The odometer indicates 8175 but is closer to 8600 miles.  I used the GPS to keep track of the mileage since the cable broke in June.  I have not replaced it because I am selling the unit.  The engine was replaced under warranty after about 4 months of riding [2000 miles] due to engine failure [complete].  This was a problem with the early 2009’s. As with all normally aspirated engines and the government required ethanol, you must add an ethanol treatment chemical with each tank of gas. I have a couple of bottles of it and will include with the sale of the bike.  I have all manuals and documentation for the machine and a clean title [no liens].

The reason for selling is that I have run out of interest in cycling, selling this and my ATV.

The starting bid is set at $700.00 and is a no reserve auction.  Winning bidder will immediately make a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $300.00 via PayPal [if no PayPal, other arrangements can be made...email me.].  The balance due is required in cash or a bank check upon pickup of the machine. I will not accept personal checks or postal money orders.  Upon receipt of the funds I will sign the bike over on the Title and Registration. Winning bidder is SOLELY responsible for pickup and transportation of the machine.  I will make myself available to help load the bike at my location. There is no warranty either expressed or implied. [unit sold AS-IS]

She is a great riding and running little cruiser and hauled my 240 pound frame around nicely [including extra luggage on long hauls]. I am sure you will enjoy her.
