Other Other description

1970 American Eagle 250

This Bike has a freshened up Yamaha DT1 engine in it. It's been so long since I built it I can't remember what bore it is, but it had some port clean up done, but pretty much a stock engine. It has a hooker expansion chamber,

The frame motor mounts were altered to fit the Yamaha engine, and also to fit the high pipe. The nickle on this frame is in poor condition from the welding and so it is painted silver.

This would be an awesome American Eagle to actually ride or race, because Yamaha engine parts are easy to get, and the high pipe makes it very versatile.

It has nice forks, but need the steering head bearings. the front hub is in good shape, as is the rear hub. It comes with some hard to find items, like an original front fender mount and brake pedal. Foot pegs are marginal, and one is home made.

It does not have any rear shocks. The tank looks really nice and when cleaned up and clear coated will be shiny red. The cap is stuck to the reciever and will need to be seperated and glued back into the tank, and then sealed.

There is no title to this bike.
