Other Prestwich Speedway description

JA Prestwich 500cc speedway bike.  This bike came from Australia in approx 2003.  It was taken off the track and stored.  The frame is in its original nickel finish and is of Eric Langton design.  Engine number JOS/H 78285.  I believe this to be a 1951.   Most recent previous owners were Rick Buckland, then Jason Bonsignore, (owner of 2 speedway tracks in upstate NY.)  It at some point was converted to a Del-Orto carb. The bike starts and runs. Remember these speedway bikes are direct drive and have no brakes.  In my opinion the bike should be left as is and not restored.  It has a great look. The bike has been stored in a climate controlled environment since I purchased it. This bike is being sold in “as is” condition with no warranty or guarantee..

This is a great opportunity to obtain a piece of racing history at a very reasonable price. This is a race bike and does not have a title. Of course the bike will need to be paid for in full prior to shipping. All shipping costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. It will be shipped from southern Maine  zip code 03901. Personal checks, bank drafts or cash are fine.  Bike is listed in other places so auction might be ended early.

following is some history about one of the great speedway racers and inventors, Eric Langton.  The frame is of his design but has no markings to verify or trace back.
