Royal Enfield Interceptor description

I am selling my 1964 Royal Enfield Interceptor 750, I am moving and will not have to space to bring it.  I had bought this bike about a month ago from a person whom I work with, it was his brothers who died two months ago so his mother wanted to sell it and get it out of her garage. The owner purchased it from his uncle in about 1992, (that was the transfer year on the title) I am told the uncle restored the bike some time in the 1980's.  The bike was done up completely, frame painted, new wiring harness and paint. The tires are like new,I have no idea when they were installed but the front one still has the nubs on the middle if the tread and no dryrot I can see. The bike runs great, I have put about 80 miles on it since I have owned it, it starts up on the first or second kick and runs smoothly. (Much smoother than a the 1966 Triumph I had)  When I bought the bike it had been sitting for about 5-6 years, I replaced all of the fuel lines, battery,added inline fuel filters, replaced the rear tube (also greased the rear wheel bearings while I was in there) replaced the float bowl gasket (fortunately someone had drained the carbs before it was stored, most likely why it still runs so good) changed the engine oil and replaced it with Castrol 20-W50, checked the oil in the primary and transmission (still very clean) and also coated the tank with Kreem three part fuel tank sealer as old gas was left in the tank during storage. The Interceptor looks mostly original with exception to the boat horns someone installed and it does not have air filters on the carburaters and it seems like there is no room for them either. Also the right hand battery cover is held on with some body tape, for some reason the side screw will not line up with the battery hold down and I have not had time to investigate it further. The exhaust pipes look like new and it has Campbells mufflers on it that are in nice shape (and sound amazing), the rims look good a couple spots have pits on them and the tail lamp has a small dent in the top of it. I believe it to be all numbers matching, on the primary side of the engine is YB 12003 (12003 is on the title too) on the frame head is stamped 845, on the front of the engine is AGZ 1149 and in the top of the transmission is AGZ 1149.  All of the lights function as well as the gauges including the ampmeter in the headlamp too. The bike also has a clear Michigan title in my name, two repairs manuals and some magazine articles as well that go with it. The 1964 Michigan motorcycle plate does NOT go with the bike, it belongs to my neighbor. (I think he will sell it for $50.00 and it's perfect) If you want a very rare bike that will get more attention than you can stand this is the bike for you, if you don't like attention at bike shows buy a Harley. Bonhams To Auction Bruce Smith Collection Of Original Illustrations

On October 20, Bonhams will be auctioning off a collection of original illustrations by Bruce Smith from the 1960s and 1970s. Each one will be signed by Smith on heavy cartridge paper. The collection is comprised of cutaway illustrations of a 1963 Royal Enfield Interceptor 750cc, Chris Vincent’s 1964 BSA 650cc A65 Race Outfit, and a 1966 Greeves Racer, the largest of this series being 45cm x 62cm.

Limited Edition 2012 Royal Enfield Bullet C5 Chrome and Desert Storm

Royal Enfield has released a two new limited edition versions of its Bullet C5 Classic. The Royal Enfield Bullet C5 Chrome (also known as the Royal Enfield Classic Chrome in other markets) is based on the regular retro-styled Bullet C5 Classic but with chrome tank,  fenders and side covers as well as hand-painted pinstripes and accents. Consumers will have the choice between the red and chrome version pictured here or black and chrome.

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market.
