Suzuki GS description

For purchase is a 1979 Suzuki GS 550 4 cylinder motorcycle. It has many new parts that include the battery, side covers and emblems, engine emblems, K & N air filter, 4 into 1 exhaust, and new old stock Suzuki seat. The original king/queen seat will go with this bike.

The tank and side covers were recently painted a Sage green with a unique hammered look to it. I recieve a lot of compliments for the paint.

The tires have quite a lot of tread and the gauges, brakes, lights, signals, and horn all work well.

The fuel tank and carbs have just been professionally cleaned and adjusted. New plugs and oil/filter change were just done.

This is a 34 year old bike that has more life left in her. I love the fact that it has a kick start and bike stand. I don't know why newer bikes don't have these options.

The new owner must pay the deposit within 24 hours of the sale's end and the balance must be paid within 7 days. I will accept Paypal for the deposit and cash or certified funds for the balance. You must have Paypal to bid on this item. I will continue to keep the bike in the garage until you pick it up or make arrangements with a shipper. Please ask questions and good luck bidding!

Mon, 17 Feb 2014

Eugene Laverty, aboard his Voltcom Crescent Suzuki GSX-R1000, led the field today as the first day of World Superbike testing got underway at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia, site of the first race of the 2014 season. Under sunny skies and perfect weather conditions, Laverty adapted quickly to his new ride after spending last season aboard the Aprilia RSV4 Factory. The Suzuki offered incredible feedback and allowed him to push right out of the gates, ultimately setting a fastest lap time of 1:30.513.

NZ Superbike Series Points Leader Is A Grandfather Of Three!

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Dennis Charlett is stamping his authority on the New Zealand Superbike championship. The 45 year-old father of five and grandfather of three (no, those aren’t typos) won the first three races of the season during the series opener in Christchurch, placing him firmly at the top of the points standings heading into round two at Levels Raceway, near Timaru. The championship favorite certainly got the wake-up call as Taupo’s Suzuki rider Scott Moir raced to a convincing win in Saturday’s Superbike race, while Charlett was forced to settle for fourth place.
