Suzuki GS description

One of a kind custom cafe racer. "The Black Widow" based on a low mileage Suzuki GS 550. Runs and drives well. Jetted and tuned perfectly for straight through mufflers and pod filters. Pulls well all the way to the 9500 RPM redline. Both starters work. The charging system works. No leaks.

Here are a a few of the modifications and new parts installed:

  • Smoothed fuel tank with perfectly clean, rust free interior, with custom black paint sporting a red hourglass.
  • Genuine black leather seat with spider web stitching
  • 100 LED tail/stop/ turn light in spider pattern
  • New Emgo fairing with smoked Plexiglas windscreen
  • Rebuilt Carburetors and petcock
  • New wheel bearings and seals front and back
  • New steering stem bearings and seals
  • New fork seals
  • New tires with less than 200 miles, Matching Pirrelli brand
  • New battery
  • New headlight
  • New clutch and springs
  • New cables, speedometer, tachometer, clutch
  • Front caliper rebuilt
  • New stainless braided brake lines
  • New drive chain
  • New engine seals mounted when side covers were off for polishing
  • Installed all stainless cap head socket screws on side covers, controls, etc.  (no more fighting with rusted Phillips heads)
  • New handle bars. I used dirt bike bars to get a little height, as I can no longer ride in a sport bike position.
  • New grips
  • Polished handlebar levers
  • New bar end mirrors
Well, that's about it. I've got way more time and money in this bike than I will ever get back, but I've bought a cruiser that I CAN ride without pain, so this one can go. I know I will regret it after all is said and it's done. I'm open to offer.

The only things left are: the red LED gear indicator light has one element out. The cylinder head nuts are somewhat rusty. One of the LED in the Stop light needs replacing, but I have some of those and will furnish. Actuating the front brake does not actuate the brake light. The rear does.

Ebay requires some sort of title listing. This bike does not have a title, nor is one required in Georgia. It was registered and tagged by me within the last 2 months, and a copy of registration along with a notarized bill of sale will be provided. Please check with your states requirements before bidding.

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

The 22nd edition of the annual LA Calendar Motorcycle Show marked its return to the Queen Mary Seawalk Village in Long Beach, California with hometown boy Sam Baldi taking the Bike Building Championship’s Best of Show trophy with a Jimmy Todorovith/Profile Cycles built Big Twin custom named “Lost Angel.” This year’s Calendar Show showcased not only top builders but selected vendors and exhibitors, and of course the Calendar Girl Music live performances. And as always, this year’s show celebrated the world premiere of the 2014 FastDates.com Motorcycle PinUp Calendars, featuring the world’s top SBK World Superbikes, sport and cafe bikes, and custom motorcycles with the beautiful Calendar Kittens. On hand throughout the day to meet with fans and pose for pictures were Calendar Kittens Apple Price, together with official SBK World Superbike grid girls Jessica Harbour and singer/songwriter Sarah Horvath.

Video: The nastiest Suzuki in the whole range

Tue, 05 Apr 2011

Before I take myself off to our local casualty department  to get these graunching rib bones checked out, I thought it might be a good idea to tell you why you must buy a 2011 RM85 Suzuki as soon as feasibly possible. Time is running out. Two-strokes are toast, right?

WSBK 2013: Moscow Race Report

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

Marco Melandri captured his third win of the season, the Ducati 1199 Panigale scored its first podium while Sylvain Guintoli regained the championship lead despite dislocating his collarbone days before the race. But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.
