Suzuki GSX / Katana description

Up for sale is my vintage 1988 Katana 1100, which I have owned for the last 8 years. Due to time and space, it must go. (No time to ride it, and it takes up to much space in my garage.)
The features include:
2001 Bandit 1200 engine with 1991 GSXR 1100 intake cam
36mm Carbs with Stage 1 Jet kit and dual pod K&N filters.
1990 GSXR 1100 wheels and front brakes.
New Michelin Pilot Road 3 tires installed last summer 120/70/17 and 180/55/17.
New DID 530 chain installed last summer. New Battery installed this summer.
1993 GSXR 750 rear shock, 1998 Katana 600 rear brake (fits in the stock location)
Full Yoshimura exhaust system. 4 into 1
1993 Katana 1100 mirrors color matched to 1988 paint, new windshield, power function works perfectly.
Color Matched Corbin seat with backrest along with stock black seat.
I have an extra set of forks, the stock mirrors, a complete set of right and left side fairings and two rear fairings.
At the time of the engine swap, there was a difference of 30,052 miles, just to keep in mind about the true mileage of the engine.
Keep in mind this bike is 26 years old but it still turns heads so nothing is perfect on this bike. Girls ride Hayabusas now and nobody has one of these bikes in this great of shape. (Plus my bike can corner very well and you can ride it 450 miles in a day and still feel great).

Local pick up is highly encouraged, I could be bribed to either deliver somewhere in the state of Delaware or meet you half way. (.75 a mile, 100 mile Max). Otherwise, shipping costs of the bike and extra parts must be covered by you. You must arrange shipping.

If you have any questions, please ask. The bike is for sale locally and can be viewed with an appointment.

The California Air Resources Board has issued an executive order for the 2014 Suzuki Burgman 200, opening the way for the scooter to be introduced to the market. For several years now, Suzuki has offered two main scooter models for the American market, the Burgman 400 and the Burgman 650, with some offshoots such as the Suzuki Burgman 650 Executive. The new CARB executive order suggests Suzuki is ready to introduce a new, smaller model to the family.

Fri, 11 Feb 2011

If you grew up in the ’80s and spent some a lot of time in arcades, you’re probably familiar with the game “Hang-On”. Released in 1985 by Sega Enterprises, motorcycle racing game  “Hang-On” broke ground by using a motorcycle-shaped seat as a controller. Players raced a virtual motorcycle on a track, leaning on the plastic motorcycle to steer the in-game bike.
