THIS IS A 2001 SUZUKI GSX 1300R HAYABUSA. IT HAS 15066 MILES AND DOES RUN AND DRIVE GREAT.  IT DOES HAVE A NEW JERSEY SALVAGE TITLE.  THIS BIKE WAS PURCHASED BY A FRIEND OF MINE WHO HAD TO GO AWAY AND COULD NO LONGER RIDE THE BIKE.  HE PURCHASED THE BIKE AT AN INSURANCE AUCTION AND HE USED HIS DEALER PLATES TO RIDE IT AROUND AND GO TO SHOWS. I PERSONALLY DO NOT KNOW WHY THE BIKE WAS SALVAGED BECAUSE THE BIKE HAS MINOR SCRAPES AND THATS IT.. THERE IS NOTHING BENT, THE MOTOR AND TRANS ARE GOOD ETC.  MY GUESS IS SOMETHING HAPPENED TO THE PREVIOUS OWNER THAT THE INSURANCE COMPANY DID NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH AND THEY PROBABLY JUST PAID HIM SO HE WOULDN`T BE AN ISSUE.

ANYWAY THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL BIKE.. THE PREVIOUS OWNER MUST HAVE INVESTED OVER $10,000 IN THIS THING. I AM NOT VERY EDUCATED ON JAPANESE MOTORCYCLES BUT FROM WHAT I CAN PERSONALLY SEE IT LOOKS LIKE ALMOST EVERYTHING IS AFTERMARKET/ CUSTOM.  THE REAR SWING ARM, THE WHEELS, THE FAIRINGS, THE PAINT , THE OSTRICH LEATHER SEAT, THE BRAKE AND CLUTCH LEVERS, THE MIRRORS,ALL OF THE CHROME ACCENTS, THE BRAKES, THE EXHAUST, THE HID HEADLIGHT, THE REMOTE CONTROL ALARM, AND  THE CUSTOM LIGHTS THROUGHOUT THE BIKE.

THIS BIKE DOES RUN AND DRIVE PERFECTLY FINE.. I PERSONALLY HAVE DROVE THE BIKE AND THIS THING IS FAST!.  STEERING AND HANDLING WERE ALSO ON POINT... THE BIKE STARTS RIGHT UP AND SHIFTS INTO GEARS GREAT.  THE CLUTCH ALSO SEEMS FINE.  FROM WHAT I FELT AND SEEN, MECHANICALLY SPEAKING THE BIKE SEEMS PERFECTLY SOUND... EVEN THE TIRES WHICH ARE AVON AV80 200/50Z R17 (REAR) AND THE FRONT AVON 120 70 R17 , ARE IN GREAT SHAPE. THE BIKE DOES SIT LOWER DUE TO THE AFTERMARKET SWING ARM...

THE ONLY DAMAGE I WAS ABLE TO SEE WAS COSMETIC ( AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES).. THE RIGHT SIDE LOWER PART DOES HAVE SOME SCRATCHES ON THE BOTTOM PART OF THE  FAIRING, THE RIGHT SIDE DOES HAVE A SCRATCH ON THE REAR TAIL FAIRING , ALSO ON THE LOWER PART OF THE MID FAIRING AND THE CHROME ENGINE CASE IS SCRAPED UP .. THE FRONT PART OF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE FAIRING HAS A SCRATCH ALSO. THERE ARE NO CRACKS ARE LEAKS OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

AGAIN FROM WHAT I CAN PERSONALLY SEE AND FEEL, I SEE THAT THE DAMAGE IS MOSTLY MINOR COSMETIC DAMAGE.. IF I DID NOT HAVE MY HARLEY DAVIDSON THIS WOULD BE SOMETHING I WOULD DEFINETLY BUY PERSONALLY .  IF YOU DO NOT WANT A LOT OF ATTENTION  THIS IS NOT THE BIKE FOR YOU.  COME CHECK THIS BIKE OUT PERSONALLY AND TEST DRIVE IT TO SEE IF IT DOES NOT RIDE AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS, BECAUSE I AM CONFIDENT THAT YOU WILL BE SATISFIED.

If the buyer is a NJ resident, a New Jersey sales tax will be charged.

Pedrosa: most wins, least successful

Wed, 11 May 2011

Should Dani Pedrosa win at Le Mans this coming weekend he will become the most successful rider In the premier-class not to win the coveted title. After his triumph in Estoril the Repsol Honda rider currently finds himself on 13 wins and in joint first and a win, at a circuit that sees him rank as one of riders with the most victories in all classes, would make him a clear leader. Joining Pedrosa at the top of the ranking is Max Biaggi and Randy Mamola, two riders who became associated with the number two.

Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
