Suzuki MotoGP Team Make Progress In Final European Test At Mugello

A week on from the Suzuki MotoGP  test at the Misano circuit, and the team has wrapped up its final test of the season at Mugello. Here, team riders Randy DePuniet and Nobu Aoki tested a new cowling, an updated chassis, as well as further revisions to the electronics package. The new cowling was reported to give a better top-speed performance without any negative effects under different circuit conditions, so it was an improvement and step-forward from the team’s initial test of it in Misano.

Kevin Schwantz Visits Suzuki Headquarters Ahead of Suzuka 8-Hours

Former 500cc World Champion Kevin Schwantz recently visited Japan to take part in the official test for the 2014 Coca-Cola Zero Suzuka 8-Hours. Schwantz, who last year finished third at Suzuka riding for Team Kagayama, is part of the Yoshimura Suzuki Shell Advance Legend Racing Team and will ride alongside his 1986 Suzuka 8-Hour partner Satoshi Tsujimoto and Suzuki Moto GP test rider Nobuatsu Aoki. Yoshimura Suzuki USA Signs Blake Baggett

From a Suzuki press release: Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing has signed former AMA Pro 250 Motocross Champion Blake Baggett to the team today during the 2015 Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (SMAI) Dealer Meeting at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Baggett will join Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart in the premier class for the 2015 AMA Pro Supercross and Motocross seasons, but his first race on the Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 will be Las Vegas’ Monster Energy Cup later this month.
