Suzuki TU 250 tech info
Suzuki TU 250 description
This Suzuki TU 250 Looks like a classic, but with starts-every-time modern reliability. It would make a great, fuel saving commuter too. I've flipped the bars and recovered the seat, cleaned up the look some and kept it in garaged, well maintained condition. I have the original seat covering (black), the rear passenger seat, and the stock mirrors. Only 5989 miles.

Selling, sadly, because I broke my arm (bicycle, not riding this) and won't be able to ride motorcycles for a while. Plus a kid on the way... so, you know... need money. Hate to part with it.
Willing to ship for $150 handling fee over shipping costs.
Powertrain: 250-cc air-cooled single-cylinder; 16 hp, five-speed manual
EPA Fuel Economy (combined): 79 mpg
Here's some words from a Popular Mechanics Review:
What's New: The TU is a successful small-displacement version of the Universal Japanese Motorcycle design that became popular in the '60s. The handsome paint-and-chrome exhaust complement its black frame. A comfortable, upright riding position--along with a 30-inch seat height and 325-pound curb weight--make the TU manageable even for novice riders.
Tech Tidbit: Fuel injection helps the 250-cc, electric-start single-cylinder return nearly 80 mpg and gives the TU a range of about 240 miles. On the road we saw speeds as high as 83 mph on flat ground.
Driving Character: The TU has a reassuringly powerful dual-piston front disc brake and classic looks, and is happy cruising around the city or sailing through the countryside. The joy of riding this motorcycle comes from carrying speed through the corners and enjoying the sights and smells of the open road. In the city, the TU is a pleasure. It's quiet, heat doesn't pour off it, and it is light enough to drag into tight parking spots. The suspension does a fine job of soaking up bumps, and the upright position keeps weight off your hands and makes dodging cars and nipping through gaps is easy.
Favorite Detail: Spoked wheels and narrow, old-school tires give this bike a classic look and a comfortable ride.

Mon, 14 Apr 2014Reigning World Superbike Champion Tom Sykes put on a clinic this weekend, leading every lap in both races to claim a pair of wins at Spain’s Motorland Aragon circuit. Sykes’ Kawasaki teammate Loris Baz was right there with him, recording a pair of second-place podiums to give Team Green a pair of one-two finishes. Sykes and Baz were also one-two in the Superpole qualifying on this nearly flawless weekend for the Kawasaki factory team.
WSBK 2013: Assen Race Report
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Tom Sykes earned his first win of the 2013 season and came a hair short of a double victory at the World Superbike Championship round at Assen in the Netherlands. Traditionally a fast starter and qualifier, Sykes started on the pole once again at Assen and had strong starts in both races. But unlike the first two rounds where he started strong before fading, the Kawasaki factory rider was able to remain at the front in both races at Assen and earn some valuable championship points.
